I was struggling to name the current US champion before and had to Google it. Should the US title be scrapped? Have there been any memorable reigns in the past two years?

No. Like any championship, it has its ups and downs. Also, IMO, since it dates back to the 70s like the IC Title, I think it should always be kept around. I'm still a little bitter that the World Tag Titles were retired over the new tag team titles back in 2010. It's especially weird considering they can only mention one half of the first ever WWE Tag Team Champions, so why did they choose that title over the one held by the Legion of Doom and the New Age Outlaws?

A lot of their championships have been booked pretty badly lately, except for the WWE, Intercontinental, and the Raw Women's titles. Although I don't think the Intercontinental Title is really being utilized the way it should be either. It has gone from the championship for up and coming wrestlers to the "Universal Championship is in limbo, so this is the main eventer title by default" championship.

Absolutely. Worst booked title in the company's history, and it aint even close. The European title says hi. At least the U.S. title gave us the John Cena Open Challenges.

Rename it to something else so they can't have the lazy crutch of "Put it on a foreigner so he can say how much he hates Americans for cheap heat!" anymore.

Nah, management should be scrapped. The problem isn't the belt, it's the people booking the belt. Just put on a better show and the US title could serve a clear purpose and mean something. They could decide tomorrow to make it important, they just choose not to.

No.
Book it better. And every week it’s not better, dock $10,000 from Vince’s pay. Things will turn around real quick.

Is it really any worse off than the other titles?
The Universal Title barely ever shows up on TV, much less gets defended.
A little over a year ago the World Heavyweight Title was held by one of the biggest jobbers in the entire company, and then AJ’s reign was so underwhelming that people on this site were begging for him to drop it.
The Intercontinental Title is a placeholder for the absent Universal Title and really isn’t doing much to elevate anyone who’s been holding it.
The Smackdown tag titles are part of a three team division of The New Day, The Bar and The Usos. What other teams still exist on Smackdown aside from them and Sanity?
The Raw tag titles, I don’t know who the current champions are or who they beat for them. The last thing about them I do remember clearly is Ambrose turning on Rollins immediately after winning them.
Frankly, the only titles that seem to have been booked consistently well from what little I’ve seen of the shows in the last few months have been the two Women’s titles, but that could change at any moment too, if they ever got it in their heads to have another Carmella run or something.

No, just make it different from the IC title. The United States is the land of opportunity so have it be defended once a week.

Both midcard titles should be retired as regularly featured belts and should be the prizes in an annual tournament. The IC title should be the prize of an annual international PPV like the Best in the World tournament they just did and the US title should be done over 4th of July weekend. Each brand should just have a top men’s title, women’s title and tag titles.

The US Title has meant nothing for a while now (seriously, you look at all the champs of the last two years and NONE of them have done shit with it), but that can be fixed if they'd just let Rusev and Lana go the European Champion Al Snow route with it.

European title gave us Davey/Owen and Shawn/Davey, 2 of my favourite ever matches, and was also probably the best booked midcard title of the Attitude Era, until the 24/7 rule breathed life into the Hardcore title at least.

Rusev's champion now and he's done more for that belt in the past few weeks of owning it than anyone who's held it these past few years. Hell, the last person who held that belt and made it mean something was himself in 2016. He's right, it's his title.
Keep it around but if they're not on Rusev's level as a whole then don't let them mingle with him or the belt.

It's crazy, you look at the list of champions since like the beginning of 2017 and it's really pathetic. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_WWE_United_States_ChampionsNot because of who's held it, but not a single goddamn reign has been worth remembering. Even the AJ/Owens matches over it sucked.

Nah. Book it like the NEVER Openweight Championship. 15-20 min. hard hitting matches.
