Also reading this thread is hilarious.....Colts get their shit pushed in and somehow it's that they played bad not that the Chiefs showed up today. Told you guys the Colts were a fraud. Chefs defensive home/road splits are night and day

Alright, Chargers. Do us all a favor and knock out the Patriots tomorrow.
Aww, who am I kidding? They'll f*** it up, somehow.

Yeah so long as New England and Philly get knocked out, I'm fine with any of the other 4

I think we're getting a rematch of the blowout in New Orleans between the Saints and Rams next week. Unless they can run the football, the Eagles are going to have a long day tomorrow. Blowout? You mean the game where we rallied from 21 points down in New Orleans to tie it, only to lose it in the end off of a coverage mistake. Oh yeah, that part of the game was ignored when Thomas blew past Peters and the narrative was how New Orleans dominated the Rams in spite of only stopping us once.

I'd be baffled at how such a mediocre team is also the most profitable sports franchise in the world, but then the New York Knicks are in the top ten and they've been the laughingstock of the NBA since the early 00's.

Gotta say, listening to the wind get taken out of Buck and Aikman's sails when the Cowboys get decked in the postseason never gets old.

Too bad they didn’t show that old bastard Jerry Jones face when the game was done. I’m rooting hard for the Saints and Chargers!

Part of it is the entertainment/glitz side of things. They're a brand as much as anything else. For all of Jerry's faults, he's been fantastic at marketing them. It's a double edged sword though. Because they're so profitable, there's no real urgency for them to actually improve. It's why you see a mediocre coach like Garrett probably getting an extension. Jones has a LOT in common with Vince McMahon.

The Patriots have been fooball’s Rasputin. Staying off the inevitable for eons.
You wonder though at what point they succumb to Father Time

Do not besmirch Notre Dame by comparing them to the Cowboys. Notre Dame had a 12-0 regular season and was a legit Final 4 playoff team. They were also national runner up in 2012, albeit they got smashed by Alabama. The Cowboys haven't even made an NFC title game since the 1995 season, despite having some 13-3 years in there at times. I can at least see people hyping teams like the 2007 or 2016 Cowboys that were actually pretty legit but flopped in the playoffs. But this year's team? A marginal 10-6 team that won a division because the Eagles never figured out what to do at QB until the last 3 games and the Redskins lost Alex Smith for the season? A team that went 3-5 on the road, yet some thought they could seriously beat the Rams and Saints back to back to make the Super Bowl? On what planet?
At least the Romo teams were always amusing to watch. Whether they won a wild game or Romo flamed out and threw a stupid 4th quarter INT, it was always exciting. A guilty pleasure. This team was just kinda...there. Trailed the Rams the whole way and never were seriously in it.

By the same token I could say don't besmirch the Cowboys by comparing them to Notre Dame because the latter always gets pre-season hype and rankings they don't deserve based solely on their success in the 50s, and any time since say 93 they've been in a big game with actual stakes they get exposed and the hell beat out of them. Playoff, title game, etc the 'Fighting' Irish might as well not even get off the bus because they're gonna get embarrassed. Or we could just say they're both teams that have been disappointing their huge fanbases for a while now.

It's like the Chargers hired Mike Stoops on that drive.
