Anyone familiar with her previous work as Nikki Storm can easily see this, such as this TNA promo youtu.be/jsF7SBi9wbsWhich was so good I believe Gail Kim allowed herself to be worked to the point she ensured Nikki was never hired. The crazy woman gimmick is cringe-inducing. Nikki Storm was the perfect angry short Scottish woman without acting like she had consumed too many bath salts. She could be an actual character with depth, sometimes being an egotistical heel who needs comeuppance (her feud with Sammii Jayne in ICW), but occasionally becoming a sympathetic underdog you want to see take down a monster (vs Alpha Female in Pro Wrestling EVE). Or as the latest Gaijin challenger to the pride and honor of Stardom (vs Io Shirai). When will we ever get to see the Best in The Galaxy again? Please don't say never.

Yeah, I really like Nikki Cross but the whole Sanity gimmick is definitely wearing thin with me

I personally disagree. It's the gimmick that makes her stand out from the pack. I admittedly wasn't sold on it when she first started doing it in NXT because it felt too derivative of Victoria, Luna Vachon, and other similar characters but she added all these little details and mannerisms that she eventually won me over with it
Plus, I feel like a common refrain from fans, or at least fans around these parts, is the lack of gimmicks or solid character work in the current product. Nikki Cross checks off both boxes. Time will tell if it works on the main roster though.

I feel like it's a good gimmick but she needs the rest of Sanity. They help keep her from looking ridiculous and she helps give the group some much-needed personality.

I got to disagree, I find her a standout among the women because of gimmick. The look and craziness along with the ring work and things she does with it are great, imo. I can see toning down some of the stuff like bouncing off the ropes in her entrance but I love what she's doing now.

She's so over the top with it that it comes across as goofy a lot of times. It's like Demon Finn, the line between good goofy(For example: A Goofy Movie) and bad goofy(For example: An Extremely Goofy Movie) is so thin, it's easy to cross(no pun intended) it.

I don't think the gimmick itself is terrible, it's just too over the top for me. If she tones it down a little bit, she's good.

I can’t tolerate her “crazy.” It’s just stupid, and it effects what I think of her work unfortunately.

She feels like the most developed crazy woman I've seen in the WWE. All the others either didn't have it down like her or they weren't great in the ring like her. She's got those and she stands out so she's cool with me.

The gimmick has been the best thing about her so far in her WWE run. She was particularly good in the whole “Who Attacked Aleister?” storyline.

She's the only woman in WWE I've ever seen with the "crazy" gimmick who can believably pull it off.

Could have given her the win.
I don’t like her without Sanity but Carmella ended up being okay so maybe Nikki will be too

The made sure to note that the new call-ups will be on both brands for a while until it’s decided where they will stay.

I have a habit of fast forwarding through some of the matches and filler stuff so I missed that on commentary. That’s good though. Both her and the group need each other.

The only gimmick more overused right now than "crazy lady" is "I WRESTLE GOOD!" generic technician. She traded up.

I enjoy the crazy person gimmick. I think she needs to tone it down a notch or two. It beats the other two gimmicks the women are allowed: happy to be here and jerk.
