Nikki's doing fine. And has shown for months in NXT that she doesn't need Sanity. However, Sanity has shown that they need her. Man,Sanity didnt even have a chance to prove. SD! loves bringing people and not even try to use then. yeah, if they actually did something with Sanity there'd be more to the "sanity needs Nikki" but they didn't. Hell just letting Dain go out and do his thing he'll get over... but they just kinda had them debut and then forget tehy existed.

The only thing I would change is her entrance. It could actually stand to be a little more basic. Just a frantic walk to the ring, scanning the crowd wildly, hit the ring, do the thing where she kicks the ropes, then rip off the bandana with a big ol' scream. Maybe do kind of a Mankind/Raven sitting-in-the-corner thing during the other person's entrance or leading up the her ring introduction.
Other than that, she's one of my favorite things about the company right now. And frankly, she's hot.

I enjoy it but she absolutely needs to dial it back for a while. In NXT it evolved into its current style with the whole 'Nikki knows a secret' thing, but she hasn't had that same evolution on the main roster. She can get there again, but has to let it come naturally. The crowd will get into it soon enough.

I personally disagree. It's the gimmick that makes her stand out from the pack. I admittedly wasn't sold on it when she first started doing it in NXT because it felt too derivative of Victoria, Luna Vachon, and other similar characters but she added all these little details and mannerisms that she eventually won me over with it Plus, I feel like a common refrain from fans, or at least fans around these parts, is the lack of gimmicks or solid character work in the current product. Nikki Cross checks off both boxes. Time will tell if it works on the main roster though. Yeap. Came to post this and was beaten to punch by you and a few others. She does it pretty well, a bit camp at times but she's a wrestler, not a Hollywood Triple A actor. I will take any gimmick. Yes. Literally any. Over "ive wrestled everywhere. Im gewd. Im a normal person" like we have with frickin 95% of the roster nowadays. That and booking is why I've tuned out. But, hey, I just watched "thankskilling" off amazon prime and loved it. Give me nonsensical camp over badly acted real life anyday

Tone the gimmick down to less cornball levels and she will be fine She struck a good cord on the craziness when they had her involved in the who jumped Black scenario That’s my issue with it, she’s so over the top with it it comes across incredibly fake and incredibly goofy. She’s like the epitome of “playing fake wrestler” vs being a convincing wrestling character. When Owens, or Dean or AJ talk I believe in their character and what they say. Nikki comes across like she’s supposed to be understudy in a junior high drama class.

Wolfe and EY should been called up with Nikki while Dain stayed in NXT as a solo act to continue his build up as he was getting over with the crazy matches

Like I said her involved in the whodunnit to Alestair Black was the best use of her character as she came across as a terrifying but smart kind of crazy I want more of that instead of the over the top it’s takes me out the match type of cartoony shit she be on

What makes it work for me is that the gimmick permeates through her entire body of work. Like a lot of the times you get a person with the crazy gimmick and outside of a finisher, a couple of setup moves, and playing it up to the fans before one of those spots, they otherwise perform like a typical wrestler. But Nikki Cross commits to the gimmick 100%. Like, I legit buy into that she is dangerous and unpredictable whenever she gets in the ring, and not in a Nia Jax way either.

I like it but also she is very over the top with it so atleast to me comes off not crazy but more a woman who forgot to take her ritalin. You know whenever I watch her the main thing I think, is her cardio is f***ing amazing.
