Right from the picture of the front of it you can see it's not legit, it just says "Entertainment System" without the Nintendo part included and the Power and Reset buttons are backwards, plus the controller ports aren't the same.

Thanks. I knew that it was a knockoff but I was wondering how the controllers would work with SNES games. Good thing that I didn’t buy it.

Yeah, that thing doesn't have SNES or Genesis games on it at all. It's blatant false advertising. It's just one of those NES on a chip(NOAC) clone consoles. You can find this for much cheaper and with free shipping from within the US plus accepting returns, but I wouldn't recommend this particular model anyway since it's filled with a bunch of repeats.

Yeah, sounds like a load of scam. Can you contact the seller to ask more info? I'd love to hear how they explain the buttons discrepancy.

They say that it’s a SNES Classic/NES Classic combo but if there are SNES games in this, how do the NES controllers work on the SNES games considerations that the SNES controllers have more buttons? I can answer this for you, because I modded both my SNES Classic and NES Classic to play more games than the original built-in ones (sidenote: it's fairly simple to do if you've got patience, just Google search and you'll find plenty of walkthroughs). Now, onto the subject at hand: because SNES games don't natively run on the NES Classic due to its built-in emulator, kachikachi, does not support them. That said, you can use a tool (not going to mention here but you'll find it if you search) to install Retroarch and remap the buttons on your controllers to play with the limited buttons you do have. Long story short: you won't be able to play most games because if a button doesn't exist, you can't map it; at most you can do key combinations to simulate another button, but it'll be tiresome and near impossible to do (you can however play GameBoy, Sega Master System, TurboGrafx-16, and Atari 2600 games fairly well due to its limited button mapping!). The good news is that the SNES Classic controllers work perfectly fine on the NES Classic and CAN be mapped in Retroarch (and vice versa), only trick is finding any of the official ones to play. If you can't find them and are willing to spend a little money, the 8Bitdo SN30 Pro Controller with the corresponding Retro Receiver is a good investment not only so you've got a wireless controller to avoid the ridiculously short cables that come with the original NES Classic controllers, but solves the issue of buttons when you go even bigger and play something like PS1 or N64 games on the same hardware (each of which have been tested to play PS1 games BETTER than the PlayStation Classic). Hope this helps a bit.

Nope, just nes games. Either the seller is trying to sucker people or they can't tell the difference between nes and snes.
