They put it on Youtube so they obviously saw enough value in it that they want the proof this segment took place to be readily available. Yeah, I don't get it. Just watching that segment by itself, it comes off as the scene before we see real bad softcore porn. And I don't know why you would put that scene on your TV show that's aired to millions and is actively in an "empower women" movement?? It just seems so aimless. Like, the Mandy/Naomi feud is going some racy places, but it's in the service of an angle, and furthers the feud. This, what is she going to do? Feud with coffee man? Have a gimmick of not being able to hear knocking? This is like the Natalya fart gimmick, but even more pointless. It's getting them a lot of youtube views, but most of them aren't going to be new eyes on the product or anything. It's like they're trying to make her the new Sunny in a really half-assed fashion. At least Sunny looked like she was having fun, though that may have been the drugs as well..but still. Sunny was into it and was having fun with it. Alexa just looked uncomfortable, stiff, and it wasn’t even all that hot if that was the goal.

Like I said they might as well have had Otis somehow wander into her dressing room by accident. At least it would've lead to something. Unless they plan on having Alexa body the latte guy.

Why do music stations still play music with ridiculously sexist lyrics? It's a form of entertainment; It doesn't always have to be about "the cause". I'm so confused what that has do with anything, lmao. Honestly, I don't know if this segment is sexist because...what the f*** is this!? It's weird, it's awkward, and it's just uncomfortable. It doesn't allow itself to be decisive enough to be any kind of entertainment. That's kinda the big point of entertainment. It has to be bring some form of joy. Who felt happy watching this? Even if you came to see somebody naked, there are much better options out there, I assure you. The shit ton of people who watched on YouTube? You weren't entertained. Okay. Neither was I, for the record. I thought it was pointless. I just can't get with the idea that you can't run with any sexually themed storylines or non sequiturs with the women because everything has to be about the cause. It's a wrestling show. What if they did away with all blindside attacks and gang beatdowns because of the anti-bullying campaign?

Ok, here’s where this should go. Latte guy keeps barging in on half dressed wrestlers. To get revenge, the wrestlers drown him in a big vat of Latte. He then returns as the La-tay (Lars Sullivan wrapped in toilet paper. It’s one of the worst story lines ever and Lars Sullivan gets released.

Nothing says "sexy" like barging into a room and scaring a woman getting dressed and being told to go away. Oh baby!

I think there's still a place for hilariously trashy angles like Mandy Rose vs. Naomi as long as we have a variety, unlike back in the day when it seemed to be ALL they'd do with the women.

Haha, that was straight out of late 90s/early 00s WWE where that sort of thing happened to Sable/Trish/Lita ect all the time. Only they at least looked more comfortable doing it.

It’s 2019 and not 2001, so the good news is we won’t see segments involving Vince making out with Alexa for minutes every week. I'm sure he brought it up, though......

I think there's still a place for hilariously trashy angles like Mandy Rose vs. Naomi as long as we have a variety, unlike back in the day when it seemed to be ALL they'd do with the women. And I'll agree with that much, even, since that has a clarity of purpose. Alexa Bliss is one of the most attractive women who has ever been under their employ, but I feel like that was showcased MUCH better with the outfit she wore out for the belt segment than we got by seeing her back. So if you're just going for hotness, that's ticking that box. If they wanted to do the whole walk in spot, have whoever is walked in on raise hell and read him the riot act, eyes-popping out, or have some stunt like when Lana was acting like she was going to have a tryst with Enzo, just for Rusev to beat the snot out of him after he fell for the bait. Or even if they're just into it, have it be someone who will play to that, or who would frighten the guy off by being someone "scary" like it be Tamina and Nia comes up behind coffee boy, thinking he's trying something fishy, or even just do that with Alexa, even if Nia and her are on the outs. I imagine she'd still look dimly on a peeping tom. That being said, it's getting a bunch of views, but it's not like this is going to become a regularly occurring segment, so one semi-viral video isn't going to be a game changer for a company who routinely gets a lot of views on their channel, anyhow, even if it's not often like this level.

Cole and Graves' reactions say it all. I always say that the absolute measuring stick to how bad something is is if Michael Cole can pretend to care. You know something is wrong when even he looks defeated right at the jump.

I guess they're dipping their toes in the water of "risque" material, as much as they can within their PG parameters, anyway. This idea that anything remotely sexual involving the women is wrong or an affront to the #MeToo movement is silly. What's wrong with some sexually charged (if you can even call this that) material occasionally? Alexa has never been portrayed as just T&A - quite the opposite. She's one of the most accomplished women on the roster. The bra and panties era isn't coming back folks. Nothing wrong with sexuality. The issue is with sexual exploitation. If Alexa was perfectly ok with this segment and is a better actress than I give her credit for, that's fine. If she only did it because she felt pressured into doing it because her boss is a horny septuagenarian who still thinks like a frat boy, that isn't ok at all.

Most of those radio stations aren't positioning themselves as a forerunner in the empowerment of women and talking up how much they're moving on from their old days and treating the women like respectable athletes instead of sex dolls to ogle. This segment absolutely has a sharp contrast in its portrayal to how WWE have spoken about their own product and intentions before.

We have absolutely no idea how Alexa felt about the segment, and yet here some people are decrying the company for its tone-deaf usage of a woman who dealt with an eating disorder. It is as plausible to suggest that the promo was awkward because, in addition to being absolutely idiotic and poorly written, Alexa, the main actress in said scene, is not known to be the best actress in the company. Focus on the promo being garbage, don't start making up reasons to "defend" Alexa Bliss. You don't have enough information.
