There's plenty of talk about the known male legit bad asses but not much on what women possibly might have been.
Anyone know any sort of fight stories that don't get mentioned or forgotten?

Don’t know any real life fight stories but I have heard a lot of people say Jacqueline was the toughest women they knew.

Mae Young slapped Bubba Ray in the face when he was having misgivings about doing the powerbomb spot, apparently, for starters.
Honestly, most any Joshi would be really low on the list of people I'd want to piss off.

Not tough, she just took a lot of liberties and went out of her way to hurt rookies. Strangely enough, she was well behaved when she worked with Luna. I'm picking Miss Linda, Mick Foley said that she was as tough as Adrian Street, and he was a bad motherf***er.

Dynamite Kid took liberties and went out of his way to hurt rookies, so did Rick Steiner. Does that mean they’re not tough? Because I know several wrestlers who would say otherwise.

They're tough because both Dynamite and Steiner had cred. Meaning they got into fights with people outside of the ring. Jackie just roughed up girls who were starting up and nothing more.

I have nothing to base this on other than she looks like she could rip my head off Mortal Kombat style, but I've always just assumed Jazz is a badass.

I have never understood how "taking liberties" equates being tough. Anyone can beat the crap out of someone who won't fight back. Rick Steiner, while tough, certainly paid for his liberties. Legend has it that Norman Smiley knocked Rick Steiner out cold with one punch in a real fight. Also, there is a somewhat famous story about Rick Steiner trying to take liberties on some young rookie on the indies whose name escapes me at the moment. The only problem for Steiner was that the rookie had a legit fighting/MMA background and embarrassed Steiner. Also, let's not forget what Dynamite Kid got from the Rougeaus for taking liberties with them. I'm not saying that guys like Steiner and Dynamite kid are not tough. I'm just saying that they are assholes who eventually get what is coming to them. The real bad asses of the business, like Meng and Brock Lesnar, do not have a chip on their shoulder to prove that toughness. They just are.

Luna. She apparently was pretty cool outside the ring, but was more than capable of kicking some ass

I'm basing this on nothing but appearance but Sherri Martel had the air of someone who would rip your face off if you crossed her.

Between the arrest for injuring the guy who tried to scam money out of her friends (iirc she amateur wrestling took him down over a bar), the time she legit hospitalised someone who tried to sexually assault her, that Lou Thesz once openly called her one of the most legit tough folk in wrestling (and he wasnt fond of womens wrestling) and that Bubba Ray believed her when she told him she'd kick his ass aged 80...
Mae Young was definitely tough. That's not even factoring the bit where she no sold death one last time...

Bob Holly told a story where he and Crash were to take on Mae and Moolah. When discussing a cutoff spot, May requested that Bob clothesline her from behind. Bob explained that he throws a stiff clothesline and did not want to throw a terrible one just to protect her. She told him to clothesline her as hard as he could, and if he didn't, she'd kick his ass when they got backstage. When asked what he did, Bob answered, "I knocked her out of her boots...".

No idea if he has a MMA background, but he is legit tough. And his wife is just as tough.

I'm interested to hear more about this. I've never heard this. Ivory said that when she was starting out in the wwf, she worked with Jacqueline a lot, and she just beat the f*** out of Ivory. Ivory thought that it was normal to work that hard hitting style in the wwf but she realized that wasn't the case when the other females never roughed her up and that it was just Jackie. Harvey Whippleman said that they gave him the character Hervina and the women's belt to not have Miss Kitty work Jackie because she would've broken Miss Kitty in half. Years later while working in tna, Brooke Tessmacher who was just starting to become a wrestler instead of a valet, worked with Jackie and she beat the f*** out of her. Jackie even pulled out her extensions.

Steiner looked like a deer in the headlights when Walker took him down at will.

Just a few months ago, Chigusa Nagayo, in her 50s, subdued a young man who was assaulting another woman. Reportedly this man went to attack Nagayo and pulled her hair, so Nagayo subdued him by putting him in a hold, and he was unable to escape.
