Sheamus vs Big Show for the belt back in 2012 was unreal. They stole the show.

Reigns v Big Show was surprisingly decent considering nobody really wanted it
Orton & Jeff Hardy as well.

CM Punk and mark Henry had a great match, maybe at great American bash? Was during punks first title reign, I think it ended in a dq when Batista interfered
Jeff hardy and the undertaker?
Does Mick Foley and pretty much anyone count? Fat hard-core wrestler with limited technical ability had classic matches with flash young rookies (rock and orton) high flyers (hbk) technical brawlers (hhh) limited big men (taker) actual big men (vader) broken down vets (funk)
Granted I guess that's some impressive names to go against, and maybe more shows how good micks psychology was, but you can't deny he just clicked with all those guys and more and produced better match than they should have been on paper, and better matches than they were having with others at the time

'Taker/Batista. Their Wrestlemania one in particular was far better than it had any right to be Going into the show, I had no problems with Cena/HBK as the main event but this should have closed the show for sure. That was supposedly part of the reason the match was as great at it was as reportedly Batista and Taker were a little miffed they were not going on last so they both decided to bring their A+ Game into the match to make Vince regret that decision.

'Taker/Batista. Their Wrestlemania one in particular was far better than it had any right to be That match turned me around on Batista entirely. I remember it turning basically this entire board more to Batista's side - people still hated his booking but accepted his PPV matches were getting great.

For me the prime example of this is always Bret Hart vs Kevin Nash. I would go out on a limb and say Bret’s best opponent was Nash. They almost always had great matches and their two in 1995 especially are standouts in each of their careers. Nash’s first two main events were with Bret. No wonder Vince decided to build the company around him after those.

Benoit/MVP, I thought they had a good trilogy of matches on PPV before MVP won the U.S title

These may not be odd, really, but
Ambrose/Miz - On paper it might look boring, but I've enjoyed every match these two have had against each other. If Dean ever returns to SDL, I wouldn't mind seeing it again with the roles reversed (heel Ambrose vs. face Miz)
Nakamura/Rusev - Out of all of Nak's main roster opponents, I feel he clicks with Rusev the best

And they brought their A+ game every other time they faced each other. Also, Batista and Edge. That whole scene of Batista, Edge, and Taker, you just knew no matter what combination of them were in a match, you were going to see a good match.

How about the Kane/Show chain wrestling clinic?

During the Kurt Angle v Shawn Michaels Wrestlemania feud, Angle In storyline brought in Marty Jannetty to wrestle on Smackdown .. Thought ok, Angle is gonna get this wash out in the Anklelock in 5 minutes, and the match was really great. One the best of the year.

How about the Kane/Show chain wrestling clinic? I thought about naming them but they were always more mixed. You got stuff like that or some good brawls sometimes, but you also got things like their horrific King of the Ring 1999 match.

Rusev vs Nakamura is a banger every single time. Dudes gel extremely well together, and Nakamura is someone who can be incredibly hit or miss with WWE Guys.

Not sure if you count Rumble exchanges/moments, but I thought Roman/Nakamura has really good chemistry at the end of the last year rumble kinda wanted to make me want to watch a an actual match between the two.

I actually had wanted to see them face off almost a year earlier. I would have rather Nakamura been the one to take the United States Championship from him than Reigns losing it to Jericho, failing to beat Owens, Owens jobbing to Goldberg and then feuding with Jericho, and Reigns having a match with a horrifically past-prime Undertaker that literally nobody was happy about.

Kane and Big Show's catch as catch can match was so weird but worked so well. I kinda wanted to see them both wrestle like that more often but it seems like it was a match they could only have with each other.
