Not gonna lie, WALTER vs. Brock Lesnar would be cool.

One of my favourite weird things about this business - people who know and like each other tend to be stiff as shit in a match. You wouldnāt go randomly stiffing someone you werenāt friends with. That is unprofessional and could get you blacklisted. However if thereās a mutual agreement (which is in most cases) that weāre gonna out there, tear the house down and make it look as legit as possible... I see no problem with it. I love the Japanese strong style. Vader is one of my favourites ever and he was big into stiff shots and stuff like that. Hard as he worked I think Vader still resigned himself in most of the time. Remember the match with Shamrock where he just gets tired of the stiffness and blasts him full on? Brutal.

Holy Ouch... Gotta say though, that kind of lowers my opinion of him. The dude's fairly affable and clearly means no ill towards his opponents, but in the European scene, developing a brutal chop became his gimmick and helped get him over. Hosses are a dime a dozen, so building your market value was important. Naturally, we won't be seeing this much anyway unless it's against guys like Dunne or Wolfgang.

The spot practically writes itself in regards to him ripping open Dunne's singlet and giving him the chop

Yeah, it's not the best thing in the world optics-wise, but WALTER seems pretty well-liked by his peers and when wrestlers are known for their chops, it seems like friends and opponents in big time matches ask for heavy hitting.
Like Marufuji absolutely murdered Shida's chest, and people pretty much were aghast until they realized it was at Shida's anniversary show which she pretty much booked herself and was geeked up over.

All I have heard about this guy is he chops really hard and that just doesnāt really do it for me. If he canāt work, talk, or have a dope look Iām not that interested.

I think wrestlers dont care much about pain and want to present stories n these wrestler would want to get CHOOOOPED like when you would see someone reverse flairs chops n he'd tell the person "again" over n over even after like 10 chops n have them continue chopping to then comically sell it so we think its bad it looked bad these crazy people who enjoy pain when used as a storytelling tool probably enjoy it. Fire, tacks, bumps off of ladders they all want to do crazy things dangerous things, n chops are safe so we should stfu n cringe.

I feel like I read or listened to a wrestler say dudes are crazy for taking those hard ass chops because they can throw your heart off rhythm and cause you to have a heart attack. Is that possible? For some reason that has been in my head for a while and makes me cringe when I see chops.

The funny thing is, the first time I delivered a forearm, I damn near took someoneās jaw off. I couldnāt apologize enough that day but thankfully he took it well and we had a laugh about it. Wrestlers are a weird breed. You could have a stiff as shit match and it would be the most fun thing ever to some of these guys. I guess you have to kinda be around the whole thing to fully āget itā. Itās not like acting (which is what Iām doing now) One of my favourite weird things about this business - people who know and like each other tend to be stiff as shit in a match. I got to be fairly tight with one of the guys who helped train me. His name was Ruffneck, a big old country boy New Jack gimmick. He was fairly useless outside of hardcore matches, but he threw great punches and took great bumps. We had a ton of matches together, and we beat the absolute shit out of each other in every one of them. It. Was. A. BLAST. You always regretted it a little the next day, but never enough to make you stop because it was an unbelievably fun way to blow off steam. You know where to aim the shots so to not do any real damage, and really, once the adrenaline is pumping from the crowd and the match, you don't even notice a lot of the pain in the moment. You're aware of it, but it's not anything you focus on. For a lot of guys, wrestling is a little like Fight Club, it's a form of therapy.

This. A lot of wrestlers are actually open to taking āhits for realā, believe it or not. When I was training a few years ago, more than one guy told me to hit him for real. As someone training right now, the basic thing Iāve been told is that thereās a āsafeā way to hit a forearm or an uppercut etc but a chop is...well, itās a chop. Like, thereās no safe way to take a chop because the safest way is...well, the way anyone else would take one. Pretty much Ric Flair used to light up people's chest with his chopa too

To me, it seems people are overreacting about something that has been happening for years. Plus, whilst Walter is primarily known for chopping, he does have power moves, speed, even a move or 2 off the top rope. I think heās gonna be a big deal (fairly quick) in NXT UK

WALTER is my favourite thi g about WWE at the moment. And ive only ever seen him in WWE, so basically ibe seen him walk to the ring 3 times, and wrestle once, but i love his look, the crowd reaction to his theme was awesome and im very much excited for him vs Pete Dunne.

To paraphrase Bret Hart, chops are bullshit. Stiffing someone with a bunch of chops is not a character and it's not wrestling.
