9 is one of my favorites. It's just a fun show. Minus the Hogan part.

32 is the worst. there isn’t a good match on the card.

9 and 11 get the most hate, and rightfully so. 2 also gets a lot of hate. But I think IV doesn't get enough hate. That show doesn't have a single good match on it. V and VI were saved by their main events but had horrendous undercards.

V and VI were saved by their main events but had horrendous undercards. I think IV gets forgiven a little because of the highly ambitious tournament idea that was technically successful, since all the matches in the tournament were booked well in terms of who won, who lost and who tied. But yeah, the actual matches were daft, and still weren't booked completely perfectly. You could say that One Man Gang went out like kind of a goober: By the time he got to the semi-finals, he was fairly rested and only needed to beat a weakened Savage, and DiBiase in the finals, and he's the champion! Yet somehow he suffered a stupid DQ loss to Savage. Also, Bigelow losing by countout while on the apron, is that the only time that's ever happened in a televised or taped match in wrestling history?

WM9 is one of my favorites, especially with the ending, rented it a lot from my local video store back in the day.

Best is Mania 31, cause I was there. Worst are all the others, cause I wasn't.
Honestly though, the worst are probably the last 3. I hate these super long shows. I'd take a boring 3 hour long Mania 11 over any of those.

V and VI were saved by their main events but had horrendous undercards. The tournament was a fun idea when they could really keep it secret who would win. Even today, a Savage/DiBiase final would light this board up after the usual grumbling of “Meh, Hogan’s gonna win, right?”

I think Wrestlemania 9 has such a different atmosphere, one which really hasn't been duplicated even among outdoor shows, that those who get into watching it really enjoy it. There's really nothing else like it before or since, and that's what makes it polarizing because if they vibe doesn't appeal to you, there's nothing else to really save the show for you.
This is why you'll find a fair amount of WM9 fans - even as a guilty pleasure - but (barring those who were there in person, which is a bias that's really difficult to divorce) you won't for WM11 or WM27.

To me 11 would be the worst. Even at ten years old it didn't feel like it had any big matches.... maybe with a better build HBK vs Diesel could have redeemed that. I didn't follow football so LT vs. Bam Bam was not appealing.
Best I would say is 17, that show had damn near everything. I don't think a card ever engaged me as much as that.

imo 26 is top tier, but nobody talks about it. I think people talk more of how great the build was than the show itself. You could make a case for it being the single strongest Mania build of all time. Every single match had a weeks-long story and build leading up to it. It's a good show, but compared to the build didn't reach the levels people expected it to, so it has a reputation as a bit of a disappointment. That and the total lack of celebrities/musical acts/really anyone other than the wrestlers themselves really takes the "Mania" out of Wrestlemania so it doesn't have the one thing you can point to and say "that was that year." But I concur it's on the upper-level of Manias. I think 28 is in the same lane. 26 is almost a top tier Mania, but there's just a few too many issues with its undercard, specifically its time management. Bret vs. Vince (alongside the promo time with the Hart family beforehand) took just too damn long with how little Bret could do, and Vince trying to take a Hart Attack on the floor from the Hart Dynasty didn't help. Rey Mysterio vs. CM Punk could have been a show stealer, but instead had to settle for being a really good six minute match instead. And then there's the Tag Title match that went 3:24 and the 10 Diva tag that went 3:26, simply because they had people they wanted to get on the card, but with no time to work with. It's a shame the Kickoff show wasn't a thing yet, because these two matches along with the DVD bonus Battle Royal would have slotted in quite well in the modern Mania format, and the two tag matches could have gotten 10 minutes to work with instead of three. Meanwhile, Mysterio and Punk could have gotten an additional 7-10 minutes to work with.

9 is very underrated, a fun show despite the awful ending.
29 sticks out as the worst for me, at least in recent memory.

11 gave us the Bret/Salt n Pepa gif, and he's hilarious.....so, I can't hate it.
29, I'm biased to, because I was there, but, I enjoyed it!!

I misread this as Consuela's Best & Worst Wrestlemanias, like you started a conversation at the Bus stop with a nice Mexican lady

I am in that group that 9 is a guilty pleasure for me. It was the first PPV I ever watched, despite being a wrestling fan for over 10 years at that point.
I am surprised that 1 doesn't get any hate. Even at the time the event took place, it was widely regarded as a pretty boring show. It was pretty much an MSG house show with some celebrities sprinkled in.
It's kind of funny how some mostly mediocre Mania's get a bit of a pass because there is one awesome match on a mostly half bad-half good show. For example, when 13 originally aired, it got tons of hate on it, with the obvious exception being the Bret/Austin classic; it's now looked at in a much more forgiving light. 25 has its super low points: Santina, another boring HHH main event; it also has the HBK/Undertaker five star match. 18 was mostly bad, except for Hogan/Rock. 21 had Big Show in a thong sumo wrestling, it also had HBK/Kurt Angle.
To me, 27 is probably the worst. The bad FAR outweighs the good. The best part wasn't a match, it was that fantastic Miz intro video featuring "Hate Me Now" by NAS. You know the one: the one that made him look like a hardworking superstar, then a match that followed that made him look like a putz and afterthought.
Lump me in as well to group that says 17 is the best. Everything just fell into place perfectly. It was really no wonder the business fell off a bit after this event, because no matter which direction the company could go, nothing would be as good, or as hot as 17.
Top 5: 17 (practically perfect) 30 (such good wrestling) 19 (again, really good wrestling) 20 (see above) 8 (Bret/Piper is one of my favorites)
Bottom 5: 27 (90% crap) 1 (just boring for the most part) 2 (just boring for the most part) 14 (mostly bad matches) 15 (mostly bad matches)

Wrestlemania 30 has Triple H giving someone a tiger suplex. That's still surreal for me. Man alive, that match was absolutely fantastic.

I think 1 and 2 seem a little 'off' because because they look and feel like they belong in a previous era to 3 onwards. It isn't really until the Silverdome, brother, that Wrestlemanias start to have the WWF's sports-entertainment feel about them.
