Every year during Wrestlemania season, discussions come up again on which past WMs were the best and which were the worst of all time.
Best, it seems like X-7 is the one mentioned as best one of all time, way more often than any others. Almost like it's hard to pinpoint what the other top popular WMs are. Other candidates for the better Manias: 10, X-8, 22, 24, 28, 30, 31, those are my best guesses.
Worst, those picks are more famous, or infamous. 2, 9, 11, 25, 27, 32 seem like the common go-tos, while 4, 13, 15 are other choices for among the worst.

It's easier for me to pick out the bad ones than the good ones, since I guess I just enjoy most of them for what they are.
11 gets my vote for worst, but I haven't seen all the WM's past 15 and the ones I have seen in the 2000's tend to run together.

11 is terrible. Even 9 has being the first outdoors Mania and the whole Toga theme that at least makes it fun to watch and make fun of. There is NOTHING about 11 that gets my excited at all.

17 and 30 are the only two Manias to actually live up to the hype.

17 and 30 are the two best.
11 and 27 are atrocious.
The rest all have their pros and cons.

I'd guess 20 would be a contender if not for...reasons.
2 wasn't that great but was the Mania being built up when I started watching.

Nine is the one I hate the most. It was just an admitted scam to get people into buying the replay. The whole show was ultra carny bullshit.

I'd say X7 is the most beloved by fans, with 19 being a close second with it's legendary match quality and star power.
I love both of those and they are my favorites to go back and watch, however my favorite that I experienced as it happened is 30. Everything just fell into place perfectly.
The Shield at their peak, Daniel overcoming the odds of HHH, Batista, Orton. The shock of the streak ending. Cesaro looking like a big deal. Felt like the true start to the era we are currently in.
Tangent aside, the general consensus from people seem to be that 9 and 11 are pretty terrible. 15 had an awesome main event and was in the middle of such a hot period, but I've seen lots of fans of refer to as more like a regular Attitude Era pay per view, or like an extended episode of Raw.
I didn't experience those and haven't watched much of them, so I'll add my personal choice which is 27.
That right there felt like a long episode of Guest Host Era Raw to me. The Rock taking up 20 minutes to ramble, Bryan and Sheamus being bumped to pre-show, Cole-Lawler finish(I would have totally been cool with it if they let Jerry win) Rocky hogging the spotlight at the end of the show. And I love HHH and Undertaker, but their match kinda pales being sandwiched between the HBK matches and the Hell in a Cell match the following year.
The only thing I remember liking from Wrestlemania 27 was Punk-Orton.

Despite having been a wrestling fan for over 20 years, there are very few Wrestlemania events I've actually seen all the way through.
I know that I do like 4 and 13. In fact, 4 is one of my favourite wrestling shows.
I'd have to say 15 is the worst out of the one's I've seen, but I was underwhelmed and probably won't ever watch 6, 12 and 29 again.

I think if not for the Hogan finish at the end, WM9 would've merely been seen as 'largely mediocre', a card full of middling matches but nothing outright horrid, except for perhaps one of Undertaker's worst Streak matches.

Yeah.... I never argue when people say 9 is the worst. For some reason, I give it a slight edge over 11. 11 was just f'ing horrendous!

At the time it wasn't that glowingly received as you had six weeks f terrible TV preceding and following it, making it a show that only in the vacuum of retrospect can be appreciated for overcoming bad booking. Off the top of my head, I'd say 8 and 14 with their pacing and stories culminating in exciting matches, 10 with Owen-Bret and the ladder match along with a bunch of passable-to-good but well structured bits, 24, and 30 are more well-liked than 19. Agreed on 27 being the worst though if only because it's the one and only wrestlemania that's entirely inconsequential. You could skip right from elimination chamber to extreme rules and miss absolutely nothing.

17 is my favorite. It was so much fun. I was practically on a high from how satisfying the show was. 9 is the worst to me. That was the first time a Mania didn’t feel like a Mania. That ending was depressing too. Felt like a kick in the yambag.

3 is my favorite, followed by 6,8,10 and 19.

I think 27 has to be considered one of the worst because it has to be the only Mania booked specifically to set up another Mania. It was like watching a go home show for a show that would be taking place a year later

It was like watching a go home show for a show that would be taking place a year later I love Miz. But he was out of place in that main event. The interesting part about that wm build up, was that the buildup and the event, was the first step into the Rock becoming the biggest celebrity of the world. If I’m not mistaken Fast Five also came around that time.

III and VI were epic, in my opinion. WWE may try and make each stadium mania over the last 18 years to be as big as III but it is just a case of "often imitate, never duplicated." I know the large fan base dictates having mania at a stadium and it's their biggest PPV of the year so it should stand out from everything else but hopefully III will always have its' place in history compared to the others. I think III and VI came at a time when just about everything was so perfect. Each mania or two or so that followed couldn't come close.

Nothing will ever supplant 32 as the worst for me. It's just a way too long, absolutely miserable sit seemingly designed entirely with the intention of pissing viewers off, especially in the second half.
