Uh, yeah, this coming from a black guy who thinks he's a white guy who thinks he's Hispanic. I got a little friend he can say hello to. (Serious answer, when was the last time that rapper was relevant? That Smile song from 22 years ago?)

Hidey Ho! Scarface and Don, pulling the strings to your alarm. Bringing terror with this beretta I clutch in my palm.
Scarface performance at Mania? lol.

(Serious answer, when was the last time that rapper was relevant? That Smile song from 22 years ago?) So because Teddy Long is the source for the allegations and hasn't been Smackdown GM in awhile, we can just dismiss what he says? We only have to listen to people who are hot and "with it" right now?

Someone should tell Scarface that it's not acceptable to use the N word

So, is everyone just trying to ignore Flair's transgression because of "TEH WORKRATEZZ?!!" Personally, I am glad that this has come to light and I hope Flair has to answer for it, if indeed Teddy Long's allegations are true. .

It might not come up in every thread but between the Teddy comments and the much more strongly sourced and admitted by Flair himself history of sexual misconduct, a lot of people really think the dude's an absolute slimeball who should go away.

(Serious answer, when was the last time that rapper was relevant? That Smile song from 22 years ago?) I would say the last time he was relevant on a wide scale was the early 2000’s when he released The Fix, which was probably his biggest solo album critically and commercially. But, Scarface is a legacy act with a big core fan base, so he will always be able to do shows and release music that finds an audience. So, to answer your question, in hip hop circles he is kind of always relevant due to being universally considered one of the greatest of all times. This isn’t like an attention grab to sell music. Now, why he said this, I am not sure. Did Teddy Long recently say this? I always thought Teddy Long liked Ric Flair. I am not sure what caused Face to speak on this other than maybe feeling a type of way about how hip hop culture has embraced Flair, and Flair is riding that popularity to make money.

I don't really see what a person's pop culture relevance has to do with them discussing someone else being racist (and it's not like this is the first time we've heard of this kind of thing in regards to Flair).

I can't site a specific source unfortunately but I've definitely heard it before. it's mostly conjecture and hearsay but it''s not the first time, so if it WERE true I wouldn't be surprised. in any event,, whether true or not, his accuser's pop culture relevancy is well... irrelevant.

Well, he is also always relevant, it’s freaking Scarface. At the same time, Face is known to maybe have a few drinks then go on a rant, so him saying this doesn’t automatically make Ric Flair a racist either. Don’t know what caused this.

I honestly have never heard Flair called racist. The main accusation comes from a Teddy Long shoot interview where he says Flair called him the N word.

So enough about Scarface. What about this? Because this makes me say f*** Ric Flair.

I'm far from surprised if it's true, given his age and where he comes from.

I absolutely believe it. Less because of Scarface, and more because of Teddy Long, who had like no reason to lie about his experiences.
Plus, the other guys he called out (Ole, Sullivan, etc.)... Well, lets just say it's consistent.
