Looks like most of the others are using the main AEW thread, I'm afraid.

I hope once business starts to pick up for AEW the discussions about them increase on here enough for their own sub forum. I feel like there have been more big news things on AEW in the last hour and a half than Impact's had in years.

To continue a point that I was making in the other AEW thread before it was locked: Everyone knew it was coming but still now that it's official, that is certainly some egg on WWE's face losing their first bidding war with AEW. The major eggs are gonna be if they actually lose any talents whose deals are up in April. If they lose dudes they thought they'd have until they were done like Usos, Styles or Orton, it's gonna hurt. And I fully expect dudes like Rusev Revival and Nak who are beyond frustrated to bounce. But what is nice, is the rosters starting to look good and complete even without those names. Exactly. As much as people are chomping at the bit for AEW to sign a bunch of disgruntled wrestlers from WWE, remember, that's exactly what killed TNA for a lot of people. For every Christian, there was 5 Booker T's there. The upside is a lot of the people who have come up have legit gripes to walk away, save maybe for Orton, who just strikes me as a guy who going to go where the money is best at this point in his career. Keeping the focus on the Elite, building a solid cast around them, and then scooping up WWE guys who have something to prove is how they're going to make footholds in the industry.

Well that was a fun press conference. I stood along the entrance way and got a high five from just about everyone, along with a closeup video of the Omega/Jericho brawl. Easily worth standing out in the cold for 3 hours. Now I gotta go find me some tickets.

No more "all purpose" AEW thread from here on out. That's locked for good. Treat it like the WWE board and let's see how it goes.

I actually got in once for the presale code, but I wasn't going to go, just wanted to see if it was working.

I think Double or Nothing is gonna sell out.

Went ahead and signed up for the presale myself. Not that I'd be able to go but I figured so long as I caught the site working I might as well go ahead and grab a code to give out in case anyone needs it on Monday.

AEW's the first major wrestling company in American to sign a trans wrestler (Nyla Rose) and that's some good shit quite frankly.

Keeping the focus on the Elite, building a solid cast around them, and then scooping up WWE guys who have something to prove is how they're going to make footholds in the industry. See where TNA went wrong wasn't with signing former WWE talent, it's how they were treated. Christian as we saw was great, Angle (once they got done with the over the top ass kissing) was great. Raven was good. Nash had entertaining moments. Hell as lazy as Booker got towards the end his first few months were entertaining. The issue became signing every under card guy and having them go over more over homegrown guys. While it's fine to give people a chance to shine it when overboard with Test, Davairi, Rikishi, Trevor Murdoch, Val Venie, and Orlando Jones to name a few. To go along with it, the TNA guys were made to look like jokes after that. Now you mentioning Orton I now have the strange desire to see Orton vs Havoc

I just realized Nyla Rose was in Wrestling With Wregret's LGBT Wrestlers video. That's a huge deal. What I'm loving about the signings are how varied they are, it's this mixed bag of styles and personalities. There's a lot of folks most people probably haven't heard of, but they're being presented as big signings, and that little spark can make someone into a household name.
