Man, I can see Rusev and Lana bailing when their contracts are up.

Man, I can see Rusev and Lana bailing when their contracts are up. As someone that also just came close from leaving their jobs because the boss keeps refusing to listen to people that actually understands the subject.I wouldnt even blame then,at least I can go over his head, but good luck doing anything about Vince.

Sometimes I find it hard to believe that management watches the shows.

Everything Rusev and Lana are saying has me sitting here like: WWE ain't gonna give them what they need. At best they'll get a sudden random hotshot world title run that won't really fix anything.

Yeah I give WWE a lot of breaks on some of the things they catch shit over, but this one was just a full-on unforgivable f***-up by them. They were hugely over as a trio. It makes zero sense to break them up in the first place, but it especially doesn’t make sense to break them up, have the blow-off be a minute long match, and then do nothing with English.
This was them just blatantly making moves just to make them with no rhyme or reason.

It's so bizarre that the payoff of the Rusev Day tension wasn't Lana and Aiden finally learning to cooperate and allowing Rusev to win the US title.
Anything else was clearly the wrong move, but here we are with Rusev's face run going up in smoke, with the death knell of R-Truth and Carmella's act taking their spot.

I remember an interview with them a few years ago where Lana said she was frustrated because her ideas kept getting shot down. I won't pretend to know if her ideas were any good or not, but both are really creative people and I can understand how they'd be unhappy.

Lana was a main event act as a manager great promo great look the people loved her they screwed her so much by making her a wrestler when you have a star you don’t put them in poor situations that make them come off as less of a star and her being a bad pro wrestler hurt her immeasurably it so funny the fans liked her so much that they wanted so badly for her to be a decent wrestler heck when she made her SDL return/debut she interrupted Shane Mcmahon,Then champ Naomi & All the women in the 1st women’s MITB and she got the biggest pop and when all the babyface women then bullied her for being a terrible wrestler and she stood up to them and the fans were totally behind her then she cost naomi a tag match to a huge pop then she started wrestling regularly she was bad and fans gave up she still gets a reaction but its nothing like she used to get.
I don’t even want to talk about the treatment of Handsome RuRu I said it at the time wwe sees Aiden as a geek as a wrestler and feuding with him for more than a match makes you a geek by proxy.

Splitting them up was idiotic. So if course they did.

Well that was just a flat out lie by management. They clearly had no vision for any of them, other than 'we need to kill this thing that's really over'. I don't know whether it's malice, because Rusev and English dared to get over in spite of WWE 'plans', or whether it's just massive incompetence. But honestly, it's incredibly hard to not see these things as punishment, of some kind. I really hope Rusev is working for himself, here, to build interest for when he and Lana ask for their release.

I think the saddest thing about this to me is that this is like the exact same shit they did to Wade Barrett until he finally left.

Ending Rusev Day when it was the most over thing and not capitalizing on it is some galaxy brain thinking.

Rusev got over on his own. A big no no in the land of Vince McMahon. Also, and people don't believe this, Vince hates when the fans are happy. He hates wrestling fans, and this angle was too much for the fans.

Anything else was clearly the wrong move, but here we are with Rusev's face run going up in smoke, with the death knell of R-Truth and Carmella's act taking their spot. Couple things here to build off that: -WWE clearly books with next to zero long term vision in mind, and for a show that's on every week and has so many moving parts it's utterly baffling. They should have major storylines plotted out well in advance (I know they do for some stories, but it's very few of them) and be in the process of building up "plan Bs" in the event of injuries or other unexpected issues. I get that one could argue that all the moving parts means that sometimes you have to fly by the seat of your pants, but they clearly don't put much forethought into most of what they do. -If there's one thing WWE seems to despise in storylines, it's friendship. Any storylines that result in friendship growing stronger, rather than former partners getting into childish fights and battling because "they have to show they want it more, damnit!" are anathema to this company, or so it seems.

Sometimes I find it hard to believe that management watches the shows. They don't. They run the show when it happens, then they move on. I would be amazed if Vince actually sits down on Tuesday morning and watches the last night's episode of Raw. Sitting there running the show from gorilla is not the same as interacting with it as a viewer at all.

"Management had a different vision"
Was that vision Aiden English losing a minute long nothing match and never being seen again and tanking Rusev Day so hard he ends up turning heel against the man he was feuding with and hurt his wife the next Smackdown after LOSING the belt to him?
Cause that's what f***ing happened. F*** this Rusev, guys are asking for their release now, go to AEW or New Japan where they'll care.

Rusev Day will probably be a forgotten part of history but when and if WWE tanks to the point of irrelevance, the absolution of Rusev Day with no payoff despite both fans and talent expressing openly they didn’t want it going away will be WWEs biggest issue in a nutshell
