They got over organically. For some reason that I can’t begin to fathom, Vince hates that and feels as though he has to kill it. As long as I live, I’ll never understand that Bad stuff happened to Vince as a kid. Stuff he couldn't control. Now, as an adult, he wants to never have anything out of his control again. If there is, he takes it down. This is why he hates when talent gets over on their own. Why he hates when the crowd doesn't go along with the story. He hates what he can't control.

I've worked with and know personally a lot of abuse survivors, and this actually makes complete sense.

They pulled the trigger too damn late. We kept tingling they’d finally do it and then one week he’s gettinf beat by babyface AJ Styles. I give WWE a ton of support now, but even I know when their shit hits the fan. And my god did it ever hit the fan.
