Time and a Place. This ain't it. Let those who enjoy this be happy. I would say at least bad choices of words . Fair enough.

Pretty sure that he’s going to announce that he’s returning as Romance Reigns, with a trashy romance novel pirate gimmick. Only if he ends up in the Impact Zone.

Between this and Amy Purdy (the snowboarder with two prosthetic legs, was also on DWTS, I'm a big fan...) having successful surgery to remove a blood clot, this Monday is like, the opposite of the "cursed year" trope we've had the last couple of years with celebrities. Let's be more like this, 2019 ;-)
I'm very happy for Roman and for his fans. That is all I'll say about that, all the wrestling storyline stuff and such I can save for later. This is still about a real person. I had a friend who had a cancer scare in her family, so I know what it's like.
EXCEPT!!! I will say there's sadly some doofuses that are now speculating this was all a work because of his fast recovery. First, Roman does look good but there's lots of work to do. Second, different things, but this is the same business that somehow allowed John Cena the means to recover in a fraction of a time for injuries that debilitate for 6 months+, so...you never know.
As for these types, I say go back to thinking that about Montreal; heck, I'll even allow you a "Kevin Sullivan Did It" rant in exchange for this. I mean, I guess it's the nature of the beast to wonder what's real and what's a story; I lived through the days when people on USENET wondered if Brian Pillman or Owen Hart's deaths were faked, and one of them was the Higher Power. But come on now. No wonder Andy Kaufman loved wrestling, its fans are so easy to keep guessing.

Uhg my local Facebook wrestling page is being dominated by some crazy f*** calling everyone dumb marks for believing his leukemia is real. Keeps posting symptoms of leukemia like some kind of "jet fuel doesn't melt steel beams" moron. And now it has a poll about wether or not it was a work.

I'll even allow you a "Kevin Sullivan Did It" rant in exchange I didn't read your post bro, but I assume you said that Kevin Sullivan gave Roman Reigns cancer, so that's the theory we're rolling with. Damn you Kevin Sullivan! Damn you! This water isn't hot.

It’s the same old shit, yet people are lapping it up. This whole thing has been surreal. I still won’t cheer for him because his act is lame and stale and they are gonna milk this for all the good will it’s worth. Still hoping for a heel turn. Now THAT would be something. No one is going to boo a man who just beat Leukemia for the SECOND time in real life, no matter how much you hate his character and booking on a scripted show.

This also goes for a group of people I used to chat with who said things like "You booed Roman, you have no right to cheer him now and should apologise" and it's like...You can boo the character but a real person announced they had cancer and now that cancer is in remission. Shouldn't it say more that wrestling fans can be empathetic regardless of who that person is on TV?

Some stuff I heard from Fightful's review tonight - Reigns got better pretty soon after he made the intial announcement. He's still a little bit sluggish. - Ambrose didn't go out to the ring after Reigns's announcement under his own call. He was very emotional backstage. After the first Reigns segment they made plans for Reigns and Rollins to help Ambrose after he's beaten down by the heels. - Vince was the first person to know that Reigns was ready to come back, Reigns told Vince early last week. The only others who knew were Triple H, Stephanie, Kevin Dunn and Michele Wilson (marketing). Reigns returning now was completely his decision. - The WWE is going to make another push to re-sign Ambrose. Since Reigns is back they're having talks and going to see if Reigns can help Ambrose stay. I hope they can get Dean to stay. Just let the man have more creative freedom if that's really all he wants. He just feels like a WWE guy. Seeing him anywhere else would feel like Bret Hart in WCW.

Really gross.

Someone apparently tried to boo Reigns last night in the arena. You remember the part where Reigns said he was scared and there were boos? It was because some dude said "you suck" to Reigns and the crowd booed the guy, not at the fact Reigns said he was scared. The crowd then chanted for Reigns to drown that guy out.

That was legit heart warming yesterday, dude was so happy and smiling ear to ear and it was just surreal to see the crowd behind him 100%.
Say what you want about him before but the show just feels different with him around and if he can get 100% universal love like this moving forward you could have a positive product moving forward
Also on Dean, I think if anyone could get him back it would be Roman. They are brothers and the news hit Dean hard but having Roman could be good for his psyche in ways that maybe only his wife could help with
All around just a really good day yesterday to see him back and charging forward

A Leukemia organization has posted a very informative thread on Twitter that came about after Reigns’ announcement. They also tagged Dave Meltzer. Not quite sure what happened to cause that, but I’m sure I’ll find out soon enough. It was their way of getting him to RT it for awareness. It’s the post after the thread ends.

It's funny, for years I didn't appreciate him due to WWE's booking of him, even though I couldn't exactly hate him because Roman seems like such a cool guy.
This past Raw, things just felt right with him back.
I'm not gonna pretend that I was a fan of him this whole time in retrospect because that would be dishonest, but for now on after knowing what he's been through and how inspiring he must be to people around the world, I'm gonna support everything he does in WWE.
The most important thing of course, is the fact that he's alive, in remission, and gets to have his career back on track.

See this is what I complained about the other day. People here saying I have to root for him. Do I have to cheer for everybody else who comes back from injury or illness? Do you guys who boo Brock Lesnar know he came back from diverticulitis? Goblins, I tell ya, goblins!
