Their reputations probably weren’t helping them that much by the time they might have considered giving them a run. They still gave Enzo a run with the cruiserweight title which I know was done because he could talk but yikes. I dont think Cass had a reputation by that point. But WWE clearly didnt have plan of keeping him with Enzo. Maybe not but imagine what we haven’t heard after what has come out about them. Even if the crowd loved them I doubt they had many fans behind the scenes.

I'd stopped watching for a while when Cryme Tyme were around so can't comment on them but Enzo and Cass was surprising because they missed out on both the NXT and main roster belts, despite being really over, and because the Raw tag titles at the time felt like an 'everybody gets a turn' kind of accomplishment.

People are looking at Cryme Tyme through rose tinted glasses, they were never near as over as Enzo and Cass.

I would say Cryme Tyme mainly due to them being in a much weaker division and yet still not ever getting a run, although I do think they would've won them during their first run if they hadn't got fired. Also while they weren't exactly Bret Hart and Shawn Michaels in the ring I would say they were still better then Enzo and Cass. Shad and Cass were similar talents in that they were both limited big guys who mainly just got hot tags so that's kind of a wash, but JTG I thought over time actually developed into a pretty decent worker and was a good bit better then Enzo who at times looked like he didn't even belong in there.

E and C were more over but Cryme Tyme was over in a dead period for Tag wrestling.

Flair and Piper?! I have no memory of that whatsoever What a weird ass period for tag teams. Yep, Flair and Piper were champs for about a week, I believe. And that was all just Raw. On Smackdown, London and Kendrick just beat everybody, because the quality of competition was the friggin Teacher's Pets... Showing just how low the tag division was at that point, Londrick were in the middle of having been tag champions for like a year and yet still got left out of one of the games. Then there's that one game where they had to have the default champions be Batista and Mysterio despite them having not had the belts in like three years because no one else was in the game who'd had them.

Cryme Tyme because there really wasn't any good reason that they didn't.
With Enzo & Cass, there will always be the fallback of, "well, they were both kinda assholes."

Cryme Tyme because of how long their run was.
Edit: but I am amazed that Enzo and Cass never got the NXT belts.

Cryme Tyme not just for the reasons mentioned but because they were much better wrestlers.
