In the long run, people may have been right. Maybe the overpowered cartoonish monster had a short shelf life. But I’d have damn well took another year of that, then whatever this is. Everything that made him special is gone. Pretty much. He went from exciting to watch and over as f*** to just any other guy on the roster.

Seriously, he’s gone as far as he’s going to go on Raw, he should be the one to beat Brock but they killed that dead in favor of Seth and now that Roman is back he can forget about it.

If we keep doing that, we'll just be left with No Way Jose and The Revival. They can have AJ, he's making everything on Smackdown smell funny. He needs new stomping ground badly.

I think that a big reason that he was so over was because a) he wasn’t Roman, and b) he was constantly trying to destroy him. Once he got jobbed to Brock the writing was on the wall, I’m not sure if he’ll make it to that level again.

They should go back and watch video of Mark Henry’s Hall of Pain run to understand what to do with him. They can even keep him face & have him murk all the heels, but he’s becoming Ryback 2.0 at this point.

I'm not sure Ryback failed at so many opportunities at championships as Braun, but someone would have to do the maths for me.

I never liked unstoppable monster big guy gimmicks because eventually they have to lose and then they do nothing of value for ages until it's time to randomly heat them up again because someone needs a "scary" opponent.
He should take a shower, shave the beard and get a clue.

When you're a 6'8" or whatever bully and you fail to get the job done, you just look like a chump.

Yeah once you hit chump status you end up as a goofball because you've lost all credibility and have to do comedy skits like Kane with Bryan or dancing Khali or whatever. *Insert Big Show dancing Baby gif*

Turns out that, yeah, when you take everything special away from him and go "Well, f*** how over he is, HE NEEDS TO LOSE!", yeah.....it'll kill a guy off.

Just a typical case of fans giving up on a guy because the trigger was never pulled. Just hope we won’t deny how over he was

Yep, that's what happens when a guy doesn't have any plans other than being there to be fed to the heels. Strowman's just there to make Team ASS look good so they can be then fed to The Shield while continues to be that upper midcard face who's just filling a spot. Crazy thing is that Strowman has been linked to these guys the moment he failed that cash-in. He's literally been in the mix for like 6 months and this is what we still get after all that time. It's been the same old stuff with him.
The thing about this though is that it's not about how he was cartoonishly strong or if he's balanced, it's about him being fed to those who are more important than he is which is the bigger issue. It would have if he was still booked crazy strong because they see Strowman and think "he ain't it."
Strowman's basically Balor these past few years before he got his swagger back.

The problem with unstoppable monster characters is that they are a lot less versatile than other wrestlers and characters. Eventually, they have to lose because otherwise people get bored with it and turn on the whole thing (see Braun is OP). But once they lose the mystique is gone. Characters like that have a short shelf life and I really don't know a way around it. It's why Kane and Show have had such start stop booking and people have been sick of them for years. There's an arc of maybe a year, year and a half before you've pretty much seen it all and everyone is sick of it.

Yeh c'mon lets not say the gimmick/wrestler had short life.
Wha has he done since peak overness? He lost to Reigns, lost to brock, was in a bad filler tag feud, lkost to brock, lost to reigns, feuded with Baron Corbin for what feels like forever, lost again.

At the end of the day it's not about how he was too OP, it's not about him being versatile, it's about the fact that he's an upper midcard face fighting the same guys he's been fighting for the past 6 months with nothing to show for it. He could have shown something had he been OP, he could have shown something had he been balanced and versatile but he's still mixing it up with these bums.
We say it a lot but if there's anyone who needs to go to SDL it might be Strowman out of pure fact that he needs more opponents. With all of SDL's talent he'll be great against them and he'll become a better worker.

They really should've struck with the iron was hot instead of putting us through constant Reigns/Lesnar matches. They kept beating him and beating him, cooling him down, and doing less of what made him awesome. Then he got exposed on the mic a few times (even though he's really good in short bursts). It's a bummer - he was one of my favorites last year, and now he's just kind of there, and he's feuding with all of my least favorite guys on Raw.

Before Roman left, Strowman was getting his ass kicked by The Shield.
Now he’s a face again, they’re BUDDIES. They’re HAVING FUN.
And they wonder why crowds are so dead.
