We deal with the second part of 1975's horror/horror related movies. As always, vote for your favorite movie from this part of this year, and, as always, explain your choice (if you like), as well as mention any other movies you might have seen on this list, below.

We will also accept Write in Votes (although, please mention it as such) for movies not included on the list I'm getting the choices off of. However, I will not remove any from the list (I can't by that point), so, if you want to make your case why a certain movie isn't a horror film, make it. Hell, you might end up swaying a few voters from going in that direction, but I can't/won't remove it from the list or DQ it.

Salo, or the 120 Days of Sodom is absolutely disgusting.

I absolutely love it, but no part of ROCKY HORROR actually registers as horror to me. Calling that movie horror is like calling The Monster Mash a death metal song.

I'll give a vote to TERROR OF MECHAGODZILLA, since it's the end of that timeline of the venerable franchise. The next film in the series, THE RETURN OF GODZILLA/GODZILLA 1985 erases everything after the first movie.

Mecha Godzilla isn't my favorite Zilla film, the rest here I either haven't watched or are unwatchable.

I voted Terror of Mechagodzilla, the last of the OG Godzilla timeline movies as The Return Of Godzilla erased everything post 1954 Godzilla

Two hours and some change left, and we have a tie currently between The Rocky Horror Picture Show and The Terror of Mecha Godzilla.

So, I didn't end up voting for The Rocky Horror Picture Show (though I was close), but am happy it and The Terror of Mechagodzilla are going on to the next round.

I wound up voting for Trilogy of Terror, an anthology featuring Karen Black in three different roles, with the last story being the best. Good stuff.


There's definitely better movies on this side of the list than the first half. Shivers was a damn good movie, and another movie that almost got my vote, as was Night of the Seagulls, the last of the Blind Dead series of films (well, not counting the one made recently, but I've heard that sucks). Let's also not forget the original Stepford Wives, as it's a great social horror film depicting men in a small town replacing their wives with sex bots basically.


And, no, I've never seen Salo, and never plan on seeing it....and I've seen some pretty f***ed up movies in my day. That type of movie is just not my cup of tea.
