... that didn't feature a single McMahon on screen? No Vince, Stephanie, Shane, Linda or Triple H?

Well, for part of it, at least. Triple H and Stephanie got married in October 2003. So, for the tail end of 2002, starting after Unforgiven up until around the Royal Rumble, we had about three and a half months without a McMahon on-screen. Then between No Way Out and Austin being made co-GM, then from then until Kane Tombstoned Linda. There was also during the Adamle era, when Trips was on Smackdown, then from The Nexus beating up Vince until the Raw when Triple H and Undertaker returned to set up their WrestleMania match. I think after SummerSlam 2012, we had a few months with no McMahons. After WrestleMania 33, Triple H and Stephanie were gone for months, which is probably the true answer.

How about the episodes in 1994 while Vince was on trial?

Apparently the "reason" for it is the McMahons on screen bossing people around draw (according to the TV Networks)
Damn skippy. Look at those recent NFL RAW/SMACKDOWN ratings kids!!!
Sounds more like insecurity/ego to me and less ratings. Since WWE isn't drawing flies with a mouthful of S***t and the entire family is on TV every week.
Hmmm... Strange. REALITY doesn't seem to fit the McMahon narrative. Big shock there

Erm....when HHH was on Smackdown in 2008 maybe? Nah, Steph and Shane were all over Raw during the Mike Adamle era
