That's fair. Just don't act like this is too immature for wrestling, is all we're saying. It's still the cheap, greasy junk food of entertainment. Puking on dicks doesn’t belong in wrestling. You are acting like there is a long history of this kind of stuff happening, when there really isn’t. Again, the only thing people can cite to compare to this and explain why we shouldn’t think this is too low brow is a couple things that happened 20 years ago. Saying “this is the junk food of entertainment, this stuff happens all the time, cmon!” Is not accurate. No, Joey Ryan and Priscilla Kelly do this stuff. There isn’t tons of it out there. I enjoy watching porn every once in a while. I enjoy Marvel movies. Doesn’t mean I want an orgy to break out in the middle of Captain Marvel. If you like gross out humor, seek out a movie or something that provides that, don’t expect it should happen in wrestling and say anyone who doesn’t agree is too up tight or easily offended. Ha! Says who? You haven't seen much Japanese wrestling, have you? The issue isn't that you're too "uptight" or "Easily offended," it's that you're trying to make some sort of rule or abject mortality code out of a theatrical performance. If nobody's getting hurt physically, mentally or financially, why do you even care? This is a case of "just say it isn't for you and move on." Nobody is holding your eyelids open 'Clockwork Orange'-style and saying "You have to like this." No style of wrestling is for everybody.

In the context of my participation in this thread? Because I don’t like people who do stuff just to get attention, and all Joey Ryan and Pricilla Kelly do is uncreative shock value shit to try and go viral and get Jim Cornette to rant on them durIng his podcast. It’s a pet peeve, it annoys me. I don’t like how they act like this is the most groundbreaking stuff in the world, when in reality it took no creativity or talent to come up with.

...Jesus, lol. There's too much to tackle here and I'm on mobile, so bullet point version . It people pay to see stuff like this, is absolutely belongs. Your dislike of it is irrelevant. . Grossout humour has existed in wrestling since practically its inception, yes. . Because Marvel never has grossout humour and sex scenes. . I've never once called anyone easily offended. I even understand anyone's right to not like this, as I don't either. But it's not some giant slap in the face to the highly respectable pastime of wrestling. More par for the course. What are all these examples of this kind of thing happening in wrestling since it’s inception? Outside of a couple examples during the Attitude Era, I just can’t come to grips with people saying this is part of wrestling and par for the course. I legitimately can’t think of anything remotely close to this stuff. You can say it has always been a part of wrestling, but it really hasn’t. Well, dicks being puked on is pretty original, sure. But, depending on what you find grossest, stuff on par or close to it has happened countless times. Besides the aforementioned Hand birthing, Katie Vick, and Warrior puking, here are five things off the top of my head: . Rikishi giving Booker T a stinkface, causing the latter to puke all over Michael Cole . DX shoving Vince's bloody head up the Big Shows rectum .Davey Boy Smith being Rock Bottomed onto dog poop .Tommy Dreamer drinking tobacco juice .Dr. Heiney And that's just WWE. ECW has a list a mile long. I'd rather have gag puke on my dick than being in the same ring as New Jack.

Bound to happen, you had them both headed towards a collision once Priscilla hit the scene with her gross-out stuff.
And they have so much discussion, so I imagine you'll be seeing more.

My issue is less that it's attention seeking or shock value (although I'm not a fan of shock jocks either), and more...it seems like it's reaching a stage where they do this shit not to entertain, but specifically to upset and annoy people like Cornette, or Lance Storm, or traditionalists or just generally fans who don't like this stuff. It seems like the 'joke' / entertainment value now is less about shock humour, and more about specifically causing discomfort for/outrage from the 'wrong' type of fan. And I just find that to be really quite mean spirited and vindictive and alienating. I mean, I could be off mark, Joey Ryan could legitimately be doing this because he thinks there's an audience for it. But I feel like the audience for this and the audience for "enjoying the discomfort of people who object" has a near-total overlap. And again, I could be wrong, but that's how it feels to me.

That is a great way to put it, and I agree. Joey Ryan is that guy that does shit just to get on peoples nerves. I don’t think many people truly enjoy his antics at face value, they are enjoyed in the context of “I want to see what he is going to do that will go viral and get Jim Cornette worked up”.

But I feel like the audience for this and the audience for "enjoying the discomfort of people who object" has a near-total overlap. And again, I could be wrong, but that's how it feels to me. I think it’s definitely attention seeking to a degree. It’s attention for financial gain because it gets him more bookings. People talk about him and his antics so he keeps getting booked. I’m not a fan at all. He’ll never get a dime of my money. I’m not offended by him. I just don’t care about his “art” and it’s not my thing, therefore I don’t go to see him wrestle and I don’t support him. Yet here we are still talking about him which gets promoters to book him. It’s hard to gain a following these days with so much competition across all platforms out there. A lot of people will do anything to get recognition. He’s found a gimmick and he’s going to ride it until the rails fall off because he never had this much success or had any real recognition in all the years he grinded the wrestling scene beforehand. He was known as a PWG guy or the guy that didn’t make it in TNA. Now he’s the gimmick guy that people flock to to see what he does next. The good news for the people that don’t care for it is this isn’t the kind of act you can take the kids to see so it has a glass ceiling and it will never go mainstream. He’s pretty much going to be a lifer on the indies that will book him. It’s worked for Colt Cabana so I guess it’s not the worst life but it’s not like we’re ever going to see him flipping Braun with his junk on Monday Night Raw.

If we ignore the Attitude Era entirely, and many of the other grossout moments since from Tommy Dreamer to the multiple 'let's cover someone in poo' things, you don't even have to look far to find multiple vomit-based segments shown to a family audience on mainstream TV. - 2010 (Bonus points for heavily implying that Michael Cole vomited on Chris Jericho's penis, since that's apparently the deal breaker.) - 2013 (Apparently bad enough that WWE had to censor it.) - 2014 (Not genitally based, but far, far more graphic.) So yeah, fairly par for the course.

There's a history. 2) You don't know their motivation, and it's projecting to this it's *just* to target Corny and to *just* to get people to share it online. It's their art. If it really took no creativity/talent/vision, it would be instantly forgotten about and not something generating this many pages time and time again.

I really don't want my porn preferences and my wrestling crossing over. Ha! My immediate thought when I saw the thread title was 'man there's already too much unexpected vomit on the porn aggregators, why does it have to infect something else I love?' Seriously though, I'm not disgusted or anything by this, it's just another worked spot and is clearly getting her the attention she wants drawn to her. And in fairness, I only ever thought of her as budget Paige in my limited experience of her... until her recent escapades with tampons and vomit. Tampons and Vomit: The Priscilla Kelly story. Somebody make that movie right now.

Believe me, I am aware there has been worse that has happened in wrestling, but that does not excuse this, work or not.
At a time when wrestling is finally stepping out into the mainstream, I don't get why this sort of thing needs to happen. Does it really add anything whatsoever? Can we really call this part of the art? I mean, really? It's mental.
I know they are long-time friends and stuff but I hate The Bucks are giving credence to this by booking Joey for AEW related stuff. Who needs the sort of press that people like he and Kelly will give them?

It's gone viral on youtube and twitter, and no one's calling for anyone's head over it. It's a thing that happened. If you didn't like it, fine, but let's not try to project that to some monolithic "mainstream".
