I wouldn't necessarily mind this, but I would want them to be supportive of him for a while first because otherwise he would need to retain really and that wouldn't look great for a newly heel main event Big E to lose that soon.

Wouldn't heel Big E just be Rusev 2.0. in Vince's hands?

I’m hoping Big E costs him at Mania. Hell, I’ll even take it happening at the gauntlet match. I have no desire to see Kofi become champ.

Id rather big e stayed face because he has potential to be babyface. I can't be bothered to go full into my fantasy booking but I'd have Kofi turn heel. He'd win the title at mania then lose it to Orton at the next ppv straight away with a surprise RKO because new day were messing around with there entrance. Making Kofi change his attitude no more dancing and having fun. All about winning the title by any means whilst Xavier and big e reluctantly go on with it until the eventual break up

Honestly I feel like any attempt to separate Big E from the trappings of New Day is just going to kill Big E's overness. I feel like he's the most dependent on the group's gimmick because he never really caught on without it and I feel like he's the least essential to what makes the dynamic work character-wise. Though I do think he's the most essential in terms of ringwork, of the various New Day combinations the combination without him is pretty easily the weakest. I don't think so. New Day feels like it mostly revolves around Xavier. Big E has his whole "Creep E" thing to fall back on.

If they do I think it should be done more along the lines of Piper vs Bret.

This is exactl the type of stupidity that the WWE loves. I’d honestly look for it to be even stupider though, like Big E. costs Kofi the title and they feud, but not even over the title.

Why can’t we just have New Day continuing to stick together and being happy for Kofi? COZ THE MICHAELS AND THE JANNETTY!!!!111 Seriously, just let them stay together.

The chance they actually give Kofi the belt is very, very small. The chance that they give it to E is even smaller. So yeah, just keep them together as long as they are still more over than 80% of the roster.

The out of nowhere heel turn by Big E or Woods against Kofi is just stupid. Have them still getting along, more on their own than together, and then sew the seeds of dissent in either Big E or Woods as Kofi does well and they........are just there.

I really hope they don't break up, because it would inevitably lead to all three being lost in the shuffle and reduced to irrelevance. It's not like E is suddenly going to get a main event level push, and even if they gave him one as a serious heel, no one would want it. No one wants Big E being serious and dour. No one wants Woods and Kofi being wronged, overly righteous babyfaces with a grudge.
So would it surprise me if the WWE do that? No. They've got a pretty reliable track record of making the wrong choices.

It'd be depressing and would get plenty of shocked crowd reaction shots so I'm guessing WWE is going to do it ASAP.

Big E as a SRS solo act sounds terrible.

I'd rather they didn't and just quietly went their separate ways like the original Hart foundation, but the WWE do love having the chosen one from a team or faction go over the others to prove their dominance these days.

They have been extremely dead set against breaking up.

Are they still shifting merch and over with the crowd? If so I expect them to stay together a while longer.

I’d be fine with a New Day breakup, but not right away. Give us a few month of the New Day sporting a WWE Champion.

No because they've repeatedly said that they dont want to break up.

Can't they just stay a faction but go after singles titles? There's no good reason they've been stuck in the tag division this whole time.

Eventually maybe. Not too soon after Kofi’s win if he does indeed win
