It's an 8 hour show with supposedly 17 matches where there's only one match that vaguely interests me
absolutely f***ing not, lol

8 hours. 17 matches. Terrible storylines for damn near all of them except for like 2 or 3 matches. Hey Vince...

Kofi/Bryan, Charlotte/Becky/Ronda, AJ/Orton, Joe/Rey I'm all excited about. The rest of the show will probably be background noise sadly.

I cancelled my subscription to avoid watching WrestleMania. That's how I feel.

I mean, is any of this real?

Probably a D. The one thing I was interested in was Becky v. Ronda and they mucked it up by adding Charlotte and it's been down hill since. Kofi v. Bryan wasn't something I wanted, then they got me wanting it, and they've dragged out making the match I've stopped caring. Lesnar v Rollins hasn't really existed so I forgot it even existed until writing this post. All that combined with the rumored run time and whatnot, I just can't get hyped.

I'm more looking forward to the party I am having than I am to actually watching it.

C- at best. They’ve screwed up their two hottest stories which should have been layups but needlessly convoluted them and dragging them out into nothing. Brock is the 10th wheel in his own title defense. The Miz and Shane will be having a match. The show is going to be about 8 hours long. It’s pretty impressive at how terrible they are at this.
Regardless I’m in until Mania and then it’s going to be break time again to avoid their banality and Saudi Arabia stoogery.

People oftentimes like to argue on here that this board is too negative. That the fans on this board are impossible to please and too down on the product all the time. I tend to disagree with this, since WWE is simply a poorly booked wrestling product too much of the time for those criticisms to hold that much water. But the fact that an “F” is in 1st place here is really proving me wrong and it’s showing me that too many of you are either trolls or MASSIVELY hyperbolic in your criticisms. Yeah, the Women’s title match build has been pretty much a disaster and the Universal title match isn’t nearly as hot as it should be. Those are the two biggest matches on the show, so I can certainly understand a C-grade or even a D. But an “F”! There’s NOTHING on WrestleMania that you’re looking forward to AT ALL? I find that patently ridiculous if you’re a wrestling fan. WrestleMania is always worth watching for the spectacle and newsworthiness alone, and that's even before we get to the matches, most of which should be fairly solid even with the weak builds. That's an unfair generalisation. There's a whole lot of reasons why someone may find their interest in this years show bottoming out. I voted 'F' and I'll defend it if you still want to call me a troll. You’re not a troll, and I wasn’t trying to imply that most people on the board were. In fact, many of your negative thoughts of the current product echo mine pretty much exactly. This Mania build has been largely a shitshow of booking against what the fans actually want. And that is a bit depressing, especially considering that there’s no sign that this bullshit will end until Vince is gone. However, I stand by that an “F” seems like an overreaction. Like I said before, even the lesser recent WrestleManias (25, 27, 29, 32, 33) are fairly entertaining spectacles, and every single one has SOMETHING to take away from it. Whether that’s a great match or an interesting and newsworthy angle or a really shocking surprise, there’s always something there for a wrestling fan. And even with the awful build, there’s no question in my mind that the Women’s triple threat will be an excellent and hot match once the bell rings. And Kofi vs. Bryan should be excellent as well (I don’t buy last night’s swerve for a second). Like I said, your feelings are fairly similar to mine although I don’t think I’ve lost all hope like it appears you have. These are your feelings though and I obviously couldn’t tell you that they’re invalid because they are your own. I hope if you end up giving in and watching it at your uncle’s, you end up enjoying it.

I voted 'F' and I'll defend it if you still want to call me a troll. , there’s no question in my mind that the Women’s triple threat will be an excellent and hot match once the bell rings. That was my logic until someone pointed out if Ronda is suggesting she's going to go off script and "shoot" doesn't that mean she's got to follow through? That means either: A) like the worst of Brock, last year's surprise wm win, Orton etc. No interest in that. B) She goes that way but the others team up to overcome it. Could work tbf but would have to be booked perfectly and all involved in and our the ring would have to sell it just right to blur the lines without actually breaking kayfabe. No faith they can. C) they ignore that part of the build but I find it hard to invest in things like false finishes as I'm waiting all match for the moment she "snaps" but it never comes. That said I'm still hopeful it'll be good, just doesn't seem the sure thing it was a few weeks ago.

I'll be excited the day of the event because it's WrestleMania. But there's not a single match announced thus far that I remotely care about. I was hyped for Ronda and Becky, but they've definitely ruined that.

Like if you rate this wrestlemania buildup 1 to 10, with 10 being amazing and one being worst ever tv show, he would vote 0 and say that because he's not looking forward to it, that means it automatically gets the lowest score reserved for Heroes of wrestling quality ppv, even though realistically this ppv build is nowhere near that. Of course the reasoning is..... Because it's their opinion and they have the right to be as hyperbolic as they like. Who are we to tell them how to vote, or it's not that bad?

Or you accept this is all subjective and give up trying to over analyse it. There is no objective lowest value to a bottom tier rating. Things that aren't as bad than others can still be given the same worst rating seal of quality if they're also bad. I'm not going to be generous on a garbage product cause there's also worse out there. I value it on its merits alone and the fact it's still not good is the problem. Everything doesn't have to be relative, and it's not hyperbolic to say so.

Yes, I'm excited. It's still wrestling's biggest night and is guaranteed to serve up quite a few talking points, regardless of the quality of the actual show.

Way too long.
Not looking forward to watching a burnt out crowd too tired for the main event.
I'll watch the big matches the next day.

I was skimming through SmackDown earlier today. When I saw they announced Samoa Joe vs. Rey Mysterio I text a friend that they finally announced a match that I care about. That being said it sounds like a match that will get bumped to the pre show or get 6-8 minutes during WM. This is the worst WM build since 2011 when they spent hours building to a f'n Michael Cole match, Snooki and a Cena vs Miz main event.
