I'm like...  And you're like...  I could make Simpsons references about the WrestleMania build all night. I've still got the Itchy & Scratchy Land shortcut one to use yet. Seriously... I can't say that I'm not still looking forward to WrestleMania because I've seen enough times when the build was dodgy but the show came through in the end and delivered, and times when the build was great but the show wasn't. But, from the vibe from the boards I'm getting three weeks out from the show, as well as my own exhaustion at some of the places they've gone to for the sake of build, it seems very much a "Let's just get it over with" situation. So many of the angles are just... they've overthought things to try and fill ten weeks of TV and they ended up looking in totally the wrong places to get the reactions they wanted to get. |

I'm definitely into Kofi/Bryan, and AJ/Orton should be a good match that hasn't been done too many times before. Still hoping for Hardyz/Usos, which would make Smackdown's side pretty strong going into Mania. I've lost all interest in the women's match thanks to WWE's convoluted booking style, which is a shame since I was so excited for the potential of it and what it meant for it to main event the entire show. Angle and Corbin? Only thing I'm hyped about is a potential swerve with that. Whatever Reigns/Corbin/Drew/Balor/Lashley are doing was always gonna be a point of disinterest for me, so whatever to all those. HHH/Batista is fine for what it is. Rollins/Lesnar doesn't even feel like its happening, it almost feels like they started the build for the Saudi show in May and not WM in April.
They've really done a lackluster job building this thing up. I think it has potential to be an alright show despite all this, though. I tend to enjoy the big feel WM has even if the show is lame, so hey, maybe it'll be okay. There are at least a few matches I want to see. No Taker match is gonna take away some of the star power, but his performances of late have me question when they're just gonna put him down once and for all. It's definitely time.

If I couldn’t get excited about f***ing WrestleMania, I would stop watching altogether.
The women’s triple threat still excites me even with Ronda’s bullshit, Kofi/Bryan is beautiful, Orton/Styles is a match I’ve been wanting for a while, the clusterf*** matches will be fun, and I’m even looking forward to Roman/Drew.
And most of all I look forward to Batista being ridiculous.

The Build been bad like it doesn't even feel like WM. There are at less a couple matches that I look forward too but there a lot that I don't care. I should be excited for Angle last match but of all people they picked the one guy I have the less desire to see as his opponent. The first WM it seem like in ever that seems like we will not have Cena and Taker involved. That does feel odd but not that I want to see Taker wrestle, just something I was used too.

Hate to be a downer, but D. Maybe D+ if I'm looking on the bright side.
I've been trying to find the motivation to start watching the shows leading to Mania, doing my best to set aside the reasons I stopped watching in the first place, but so far they're doing the opposite of winning me back.
At this point, the one thing I'm really interested in is seeing Kofi win, and that's not enough to make me resub to the Network when I can just read the result online, maybe watch a clip or two after the fact. Everything else feels like a trainwreck, and this "new heel heat" they're experimenting with is bloody awful.
There's such a huge difference between being invested in an angle (suspending disbelief, wanting the hero to beat the villain) and this weird thing they've been doing lately, spinning fan complaints about the product so they become part the angles with Lesnar, Rousey, Corbin, and probably others I'm forgetting. I guess the rationale is "any negative reaction to a heel means the heel is successful", but it's not the same. It doesn't feel anywhere near the same. It doesn't make me want to invest time and money in the product, it doesn't get me fired up to cheer for the babyface.
It makes me want the whole stupid mess over with, hoping that the stories somehow get better in the future. I wish Vince understood that.

Kofi / Bryan should be great provided they don't do anything to overcomplicate it. Orton / AJ should be great. Batista / Triple H might deliver so long as they have weapons to cover up for both of them really being too old for this at this point. Rollins / Lesnar's a 50/50 on if it's good or not. Triple threat will probably still be a good match in spite of the horrendous build that's killed any real hype I have for it.
Everything else announced or looking likely though, yiiiiikes.

A lot of the Smackdown stuff has been built pretty well - doesn't really feel like the biggest show of the year is in two weeks, but it's been solid. I'm done with Raw, at least until it climbs above being the worst shit ever.
I'll go with C- I guess. I'll probably watch on delay so I can fast forward. A six hour show is f***ing stupid.

For the most part. Yeah, there are a couple clunkers, and Ciampa's injury is going to be weighing on me heavy that weekend, but for the most part, I'm still down for it.

The build has sucked, but I'm still looking forward to Becky and Ronda finally squaring off in the main event, AJ/Orton and Bryan/Kofi. I wouldn't be surprised if Seth/Brock ends up being a good match as well.

There's a chance I'll like the show when it happens, but right now all the bad decisions and persistent f***ery is bogging down any excitement I can have. A bunch of my friends are converging on someone's place for it and I want to go because working from home makes every opportunity to get out of the house a f***ing treasure, but it's something where right now I'm going more for company than for the show, and I'm hoping that can change, but WWE has really shot my excitement out of the sky in the past month or so with all of this nonsensical parade of bad ideas.
