17 projected matches according to the WrestleVotes IG account.
Makes me happy I decided not to go this year (went the last three). It's just too long to have to sit thru. At least, at home, I'll get to walk around and eat good food without having to spend half my savings, get to drink and go walk the dogs.
Who would wanna be the main-event of these shows? There is no way you can expect fans to sit thru an 8 hour show and still be excited when the week-end is already chock full of activities, shows & events. This is absurd.

Oh jeez. The last one felt like the longest event in recorded history.

Well, that headline is sure to fill everybody with the thrill of anticipation.
Interesting that there's an acknowledgement both that AEW is a potential threat in terms of destination for talent, and that morale amongst the wrestlers isn't exactly flying high. It's crazy that nine tenths of the problems with the WWE lead directly back to the people in creative and decision-making roles, and Vince knows that, yet all he does is tinker around at the edges and pretend he's making big changes.

Thank God I don't watch anymore and just keep up with the product through message boards and videos. How arrogant is WWE? No body wants to do anything for seven or eight hours. That is way too long of a time to ask your fans to sit through. I don't want think that I could see Beyoncé perform naked for that long without getting bored. This is ridiculous.

You wanna have it go that long? Start the thing at 4. There's absolutely no f***ing reason it needs to get over after midnight on a Sunday night

Serious question... We all know seven hours total runtime is a slog, so what needs to be changed to get it down to something reasonable, but also pleases the most people by not causing another problem as a consequence? It’d have to either be way shorter matches (look at match cards from previous WMs with double-digit number of matches on them... How many don’t even break ten minutes? You’d be lucky to find any match UNDER ten minutes on a WM card now) or less matches, meaning either more multi-man matches or some people missing out altogether, and it wouldn’t just be Main Event and lower card types, either.

They are going to have to be shooting uppers into the crowd instead of t shirts. Serious question... It makes so much sense. And it gives the WWE more money

This shit is just not sustainable. The 3 hour RAW's, the all day PPV's, the bloated roster. It's all way too much ugh.

I'm going to need a minutes alone while I scream into the void.
Why this isn't a two night event baffles me. Even Wrestle Kingdom is going to have a two night event this next year, despite NJPW not having nearly the amount of people on it's roster. It would make it sooooo much easier to sit through. Like, I'm almost discouraged to even attempt to watch the whole thing if it's going to be 7-8 hours long, or more.

I have thought for a while making it two nights and basically making it a 3 day weekend like the major music festivals do with NXT Takeover as the first night, but I'm sure that would cause tons of problems logistically and with ticket sales.

Well, they’re gonna have to try and figure something out, because seven hour shows are completely nuts, but nobody wants to be that guy and either go “OK, this match is only getting five minutes now” or “Sorry, you’re not booked for WrestleMania even though you’re one of our reigning champions”.

A main show over 4 hours is just needless. Put 2 matches on the pre show and stretch that for 2 hours if you need but what they're talking about is so unnecessary.

The only answer is to bring back the ECW Double Jeopardy gimmick to programs, with two different matches happening at the same time in the exact same place, and just hoping for the best. It'll be like having simultaneous acts at a circus tent; don't like Miz/Shane at the moment? Well just shift your eyes a few feet and see if Angle/Corbin's any better. You can save even more time if you have entrances combined too; such as the Boss N' Hug Connection awkwardly walking with Brock Lesnar down the ramp.

Wasn't Wrestlemania XVI/2000 technically an all day event?

Well that would explain why WWE picked this as an official theme song for this year’s show: And I know I made this joke before but ... screw it. If Vince had his way, you just know the following would happen: Wasn't Wrestlemania XVI/2000 technically an all day event? Sort of, but not the actual PPV. WWE offered a WrestleMania All Access program that showed highlights from past shows in the afternoon, leading up to the PPV proper at its regular time. I believe that was optional—you could get the all-day show, or just the event itself.

Wasn't Wrestlemania XVI/2000 technically an all day event? On PPV, yeah. A retrospective of the first 15 Manias started at noon EST and the main show started at 8.

I agree that this is getting to the point where Mania will need to be split into two over an entire weekend BUT that poses its own problems.
They got the HOF They got NXT
They keep piling and piling and piling onto themselves that there is no room to do it and ontop of that the creative shit hole they are in you know WWE is gonna charge for both shows instead of charging just for Mania as a whole thinking they can people to pay twice as much ..but people are clearly only gonna choose the show with the people they like or with the bigger stars and also about WWE and their thinking whose to say they wouldn't just make both nights 8+ f***ing hours because at this rate I put nothing past their stupidity.

Remember when WrestleMania was just 3 or 4 hours of really good matches you've been itching to see? We don't need 4 more hours of filler.
