Charlotte shouldn’t want the Raw Womens title now... right?
Unless they’re implying that the Smackdown one is beneath it...

Charlotte shouldn’t want the Raw Womens title now... right? Unless they’re implying that the Smackdown one is beneath it... I mean, of course they are. Becky and Charlotte have had a death grip on the SmackDown title since SummerSlam to the point it was a plot point that the rest of the roster was getting sick of them, but both immediately shifted their focus entirely to the Raw one the second they had the chance to win it and then tonight Charlotte presented going out and beating Asuka to reach the record for most Women's title reigns ever as something she was solely doing spur of the moment to prove a point after Becky shit-talked her.

What the actual hell. Just when you think they can't make any more terrible bookings, and make the FIRST WOMEN'S WRESTLEMANIA MAIN EVENT any more overbooked and convoluted.. I won't be surprised if Monday they announce Linda's return and have a Mcmahon in each corner.

One small point that I think is getting overlooked is that during Asuka's reign, the SDL women's title began frequently main-eventing house shows (firstly with the Asuka/Becky/Charlotte triple threats after Xmas, then a couple of weeks of Asuka/Charlotte main-events), which is a historic achievement in its own right. It also makes me very curious to see if they're going to book more of their matches to main event SDL shows post-Mania.

To me that just feels like something where they have a heel WWE Champion but had a face Women's one, so it made better structuring for sending people home happy with a straight Asuka win than Bryan getting DQed or something.

Also once again, f*** everything about Charlotte's booking.

The outburst of rage over this... wasn't it already quite apparent that Asuka was going to be an afterthought at Mania this year?
You can't book everyone to be relevant all the time. The belt is better served being in the main event than the pre-show. Asuka will continue to be one of the most strongly booked women they have. She will be back in the title picture soon enough.

PLEASE NO!

I’m feeling that this may be to give Becky win more legitimacy. Rhonda won’t do the job so this way Becky is still beating the Champ.

You know I was like, "WTF" until I remembered recently a rumor that WWE tossed the Evolution ending for Wrestlemania. So now my guess? Sasha and Bailey retain the belts, Becky beats Rhonda, and the ending is the four horsewomen of the WWE holding all four of their titles above their heads. So basically the Benoit and Guerrero ending.

And to save the "She couldn't even beat me in a fake fight, imagine if I kicked the shit out of her for real" tweets.

As bad as it is for Asuka, I think most people are mad because this is just dumb. They've taken a storyline handed to them on a silver platter. Should have been the easiest thing in the world to book, that they've done nothing but screw up, and make worse and worse and worse. What is the Kayfabe reason for Charlotte getting a shot at Asuka? In fact, why is Vince f***ing with everyone in almost every storyline? What beneficial reason does he have to be screwing with Kofi etc and why? I'm rambling sorry, I just, I don't have words to describe this whole build to Wrestlemania. It's so just backwards in way. They've completely lost me, I have zero idea what is going on anymore Edit: Also, poor Smackdown in general. In hindsight over the past 6 months Smackdown has been treated like the dirt worst. They are seemingly trying to sabotage a brand that in 6 months or so is expected to do really well on Fox

I'm not saying there's some massive logic behind it, just that taking a meaningless title off someone who wasn't being used and adding it to the main event at this stage isn't that offensive. Certainly not to the point of throwing your remote at the TV and proclaiming this storyline officially dead for the twelfth time in four weeks.

Yup, Becky beating Ronda is what most people have been wanting to see whether it's one on one or in a triple threat. I love watching Becky fight Charlotte as I've said many times, but this match has always been all about Ronda vs. Becky. I understand adding Charlotte to make the match better, but the end should come down to those two. (All of this is assuming Ronda's leaving of course)

So someone belatedly realised that it would look bad if the Four Horsewomen posed together at the end of Wrestlemania, and Charlotte didn't have a belt. Sigh. It's so tiresome when the WWE is this predictably dumb.
Not only have they given away the ending of the main event (we now know for sure that Becky is winning), they've also given away the ending of the Women's Tag match. And in the process, they've devalued every other woman who now won't get booked outside shitty, pre-show battle royal.
Giving the Smackdown belt to Charlotte now just screams that it's a prop, and not a legitimate title.
