Time to finish up 1985 with the last list of movies from that year. Vote for your favorite movie from this part of this year, and, as always, explain your choice (if you like), as well as mention any other movies you might have seen on this list, below.

We will also accept Write in Votes (although, please mention it as such) for movies not included on the list I'm getting the choices off of. However, I will not remove any from the list (I can't by that point), so, if you want to make your case why a certain movie isn't a horror film, make it. Hell, you might end up swaying a few voters from going in that direction, but I can't/won't remove it from the list or DQ it.

PHENOMENA gets my vote, being my favorite of Dario Argento's films.

HORROR HOUSE ON HIGHWAY 5 is legit one of the worst films I've ever seen. It's garbage.

My knowledge of this bunch is kind of limited.

Phenomena is the most well known and you can't go wrong with Dario Argento really.

The Mutilator is your standard teen slasher with big Ed being memorable.

The rest I don't really know: I haven't seen 3D Saamri but I do know is a bollywood horror film which sounds unique?!

Biohazard I also haven't seen but it does have great VHS/DVD box art I remember from the video rental store, so will be hunting it down.

only two this time .....

MR VAMPIRE was shown as a season of hong kong jiangshi films ages ago and this was one of them, and it was very fun, pretty sure i still have the ones i video taped too!

and The Doctor and the Devils, i have a real soft spot for, another 80's class act, and it did have james bond in it too as well as an amazing cast

Yeah, that Wikapedia list did leave off some major films for whatever reason. I like this new site's list a lot better. Wait till we get to the late 80s...five days worth of lists for 87-89.

As for this list, we have another hour and a half, and then we'll officially give Dario the duke (Unless A Polish Vampire in Burbank sneaks in and wins it all).

Yeah, there was a lot of shit in this list....sorry. It seems that, horror wise, the end of the year was where they dumped their crappy movies. However, Phenomena (AKA Creepers) is not one of them. Not Argento's best, but this movie definitely has its moments. Plus, it has a great 80's rock score, and has a solid cast (Jennifer Connelly and Donald Pleasence) and some nice gore. It's definitely the best on this list.

Thou Shall Not Kill....Except is a more of an action movie that asks the question, "What if some bad Ass Vietnam vets came after The Manson Family?" Sam Rami actually plays the Manson stand in character, and he does a decent job. It's an all right movie.

I did actually see A Polish Vampire in Burbank....it was more of a boring black comedy than it was horror, but I don't remember any big moments from it, so....

Time to head on to 1986.
