Can we get Bob Costas to do more Yankee games
Also Ryan Rucco has been really good in the role since Kay went out with the procedure

I'm genuinely surprised Judge hasn't gotten any boobirds. He's been horrible lately.

At the very least, Yanks split this series with the Sox.

This is currently the longest losing streak the Sox have had in years, and it's against the 2 teams they can't afford to lose to in the Yanks and Rays.

Where did the "Pirates are thugs" come from? I worked for them from 2016 to earlier this year, and have watched them for years (ugh). I have only seen a handful of times where they've gone after somebody. If anything, they've been bitches for NOT retaliating. When Tony Rizzo did an unnecessary slide and took out Elias Diaz, they did nothing. So while they may be stupid about when they retaliate, I never saw them as a "thug" team. Not that I follow that "unwritten rule" bullshit anyways. Dude hits a home run, strike him out next time. But I do understand if somebody hurts another person. Then, yeah...put one right in their ass. Not the head or somewhere serious. Ass/thigh area only. Tell that to Kela who intentionally threw at someone's head and got a 10 game suspension for that and instigating that brawl. Pirate pitchers have been throwing at dudes all year this year.
I wouldn't call them thugs, though. Like I said, bitch mode.
Yeah, nobody should be throwing at anybody's head. And I haven't watched a lot of Pirates games this year, since they, you know...suck. But I saw Wilbon on PTI going on and on about how they're thugs and they teach throwing at guys and they do it all the time. And I was just like, "What are you talking about?" Again, Anthony Rizzo slides to take out Diaz, and he didn't say shit. And of course, Old Man Maddon defended him. Pirates never threw at Rizzo. And Kela's pitch didn't look close. I don't think the Reds batter even really had to get out of the way. Not condoning it, just saying there have been a lot worse.

I'm genuinely surprised Judge hasn't gotten any boobirds. He's been horrible lately. Judge is somewhat teflon and it helps that others are producing but yeah he has been shit lately. Like 2-30 or something like that Though we know, when he gets hot he can carry the team so it is more about patience If you told me Yanks would be in this position with Judge not playing this his potential due to the injury this year, Stanton having less than like 50 ABs and Sevy not pitching at all I would have thought you were high D.J. at the top of the line up has greatly stabilized this team in the way Gardner did not

I know the MVP deserves to go to Trout since in spite of the Angels sucking, he's been having a career year (which is saying something considering how great he is). But DJ deserves at least some second place votes.

But DJ deserves at least some second place votes. A career year that is somewhat underrated due to the Angels never being a winning club but yeah Trout is the run away MVP but DJ no doubt deserves love because what he is doing and how he has been the MVP of this Yankees team deserves consideration I hope Trout makes the playoffs while he is still in his prime because I feel like that is the thing missing off his resume. He's going to end up one of the greatest statistically but I want to see what he can do in the bright lights of the playoffs

Brewers won't make the postseason for another however many years. Not with this pitching staff and not with this manager.
I'd say that at least I have the Red Sox but they're crashing too apparently.

Barring a minor miracle it looks like the Sox's season is essentially over. It is truly amazing (though horrifying would be a more apt term) how essentially the same team that had one of the greatest seasons in baseball history a year ago could follow that up with one of the most disappointing. It's as if they watched the Celtics and said "You think that was a disaster? You ain't seen nothing yet!"
Looking back it appears the problem that sank the Sox's season is the same that cost the Celtics, overconfidence. These guys went into Spring Training thinking that they were going to win 90 games just by showing up. They took it very easy in Spring Training (especially the starting pitchers) and as a result they weren't ready to go when the season started. They started 6-13 and were behind the 8 ball from then on. They kept waiting to for everybody to recover their 2018 form but with the exception of a few weeks it never happened.
Now there were many more problems I could go into (the bullpen, the starters falling apart, baffling roster decisions, etc) but that's for another day. Right now the good news for New England fans is that the Patriots' first preseason game is on Thursday. The Pats won't let us down like the Celts and Sox did, right?
Right?

The luxury of being able to complain about winning squads that fall short of expectation

Scooter goes deep.
He’s been hurt this year, but the last two seasons he’s hit 20+ HRs and 90+ RBIs including an All-Star Team, and the Giants basically got him for free.
How did Farhan even manage that? Could be a huge addition if he returns to form.

The Astros have thrown a combined no-hitter.
Aaron Sanchez threw 6 of those innings in his debut. What the f*** is this magic the Astros have with pitchers?

Give whoever's the pitching coach in Houston a raise. He's clearly a wizard.
