How do we live in a world where one of the more progressive women’s division is one where they once put the women’s title on Harvey Whippleman in drag? It’s a problem across the board. I remember someone asking Meltzer about New Japan not having women’s matches and he argued against it saying it would be like stopping an NBA game midway through to let the WNBA players play for a while. How is meltzer so f***ing tone deaf about women. Almost every comment he says about a women is just not great

On the subject of NJPW, it'd be nice to see them partner with one of the joshi companies or more than one, and to get some of their stuff on shows, but I get that it's a different wrestling ecosystem there. In the US, there aren't as many all-women companies or anything, certainly not proportionally, so that excuse wouldn't fly here. Still, if that ever changed and they had women as a full part of NJPW, I'm confident they'd make it work, especially since if I recall, NJPW has a big women demographic, as it is. It’s a problem across the board. I remember someone asking Meltzer about New Japan not having women’s matches and he argued against it saying it would be like stopping an NBA game midway through to let the WNBA players play for a while. How is meltzer so f***ing tone deaf about women. Almost every comment he says about a women is just not great It's one of those areas he just doesn't seem to know as well. I remember that he ended up being wrong a lot about AJ Lee newz, among others, so I imagine it's a mix of not knowing as much and probably having fewer sources to get info on them compared to the guys.

Across the indies, there are honesty too many bad women’s divisions with weird booking and no interest in making any substantial stories. ROH was somehow worse than ALL of them. I think the biggest problem with it was that it was very clear it was just a platform for Delirious and BJ Whitmer to showcase their girlfriend/wife at the expense of the rest of the women who were more over and frankly more talented. ROH had ample opportunity to really take the lead, but the bookers were more worried about making their women happy. This. ROH has never been great at putting together a women's division, but putting Kelly Klein and Mandy Leon front and center made it even worse than it should've been. It's complete bullshit that Klein gets another rematch at the MSG show. Move on from her already.

Yeah, AEW would be well-advised to consider signing her up. That said, with AEW in play, does WWE give her what would technically be a third chance? ...Think about it. Vince ain't.

Tenille should have been the cornerstone of Women of Honor as soon as she came in the door. She probably would have taken the title from Sumie Sakai had she not gotten injured, but I think she should have been the inaugural champion while RoH built someone to her level while they had the chance.

Women of Honor has been even more embarrassing than 205. I mean, at least 205 had some gems. WOH has been garbage through and through. Even the Stardom women can't/couldn't save it.

Then there's MLW, which no longer has any women's matches like they did a few times last year, and at the end of 2017. How do we live in a world where one of the more progressive women’s division is one where they once put the women’s title on Harvey Whippleman in drag? Forget that instance..... How do we live in a world where one of the more progressive women’s division is one where they had the 1st womens' Money in the Bank match won by a man?

Most of her friends are in AEW, so I guess she will go there.

Like...how do you promote that as a big deal across all mainstream media, get the backing of companies and then go "You know what'd be a great idea to end the first women's MITB? The male lackey is the first to hold the briefcase!" It isn't as misguided as "Have GLADD help us with our gay marriage storyline to be culturally sound and swerve them at the end by it being a fix" but it's close.

Emma with the IIconics and Rhea Ripley as their enforcer, running SmackDown... Think about it. Melts out of chair and rolls around on the ground saying "ohmygodyes!" over and over.

BTW, what is her look supposed to be exactly? Like, a dominatrix or a biker? Or someone from the Matrix?
…….Or a dominatrix biker who is from the Matrix?

She really should have been the cornerstone of that division as she was easily the most over woman they had the second she showed up instead she spent 7 months doing random tag matches.I knew it was doomed when she signed with ROH hopefully she can go somewhere that will actually utilize her and more importantly she stays healthy as she’s had a rough couple years.

With the glasses and the gloves I always thought it was based off Lara Croft, the main character in the Tomb Raider video games. At least that's what it's always come off like to me even more so now that she's gone brunette.

1) I think today's Supercard showed again why Tenille probably left Roh, even though I think she doesn't make that decision easily. Not gonna spoil it, but the division still seems to just be an afterthought platform that's just there because the booker also needed a place for his gf. 2) I would love to see Tenille on a big platform again. She's very capable, has charisma, an interesting comeback-kid biography and the right mind. While other former wwe talents often are somewhat problematic (like just wanting themselves going over) to book on the indies, she handles herself very well and has a very good reputation among the promotions according to some interviews. Sidenote ThankGodForSidJustice : the rumour going around back then about the bad attitude as release reason was some clickbait speculation by a bad sheet, which has been refuted. Sapp, who is a good source, wrote he never heard any negativity in wwe and people he spoke to after said she was great to deal with in all regards. www.fightful.com/wrestling/exclusives/fightful-wrestling-weekly-216-emma-elgin-co-branded-shows-rousey-raven-more
She also proved she can draw on the indies before bad roh booking and her health problems (auto-immune disease and shoulder surgery) screwed things up. And there's the one problem with her. I hope the surgery went well and she will finally be able to show what she's capable of.

I think Tenille should do some stuff with Impact, Lance Storm her trainer is a producer there right now. Give her some of the confidence back because its bound to have taken knock in the dumpster fire of WOH. And if she heads to AEW after then cool.
