1) I think today's Supercard showed again why Tenille probably left Roh, even though I think she doesn't make that decision easily. Not gonna spoil it, but the division still seems to just be an afterthought platform that's just there because the booker also needed a place for his gf. 2) I would love to see Tenille on a big platform again. She's very capable, has charisma, an interesting comeback-kid biography and the right mind. While other former wwe talents often are somewhat problematic (like just wanting themselves going over) to book on the indies, she handles herself very well and has a very good reputation among the promotions according to some interviews. Sidenote ThankGodForSidJustice : the rumour going around back then about the bad attitude as release reason was some clickbait speculation by a bad sheet, which has been refuted. Sapp, who is a good source, wrote he never heard any negativity in wwe and people he spoke to after said she was great to deal with in all regards. www.fightful.com/wrestling/exclusives/fightful-wrestling-weekly-216-emma-elgin-co-branded-shows-rousey-raven-moreShe also proved she can draw on the indies before bad roh booking and her health problems (auto-immune disease and shoulder surgery) screwed things up. And there's the one problem with her. I hope the surgery went well and she will finally be able to show what she's capable of.
Good to hear she's cool to deal with on the indies. Looking on Cagematch it looks she wasn't having much trouble getting booked, working 2-3 times pretty much every week before the injury bug struck again last summer (along with the bad flare up with her skin condition). I guess it at least shows she's passionate about the business as most women who get released from WWE proceed to then pretty much fall off the face of the earth as they most likely don't want to continue risking their health for a lot less money while working in front of small crowds. I hear/read very mixed things about her when it comes to how she is in real life. On one hand there's the reports about her being difficult to work with and then there was a writer whose name escapes me whom in a couple interviews claimed to have some very negative experiences with her and even said she was the worst person he dealt with during his time there. Emma/Tenille is probably my second favorite women wrestler after Becky so it was very disappointing for me to hear that she was apparently an unpleasant person IRL. On the other hand though it seems like she was well liked and popular amongst the other wrestlers as everyone only has good things to say about her when her name is brought up in shoot interviews. Charlotte in particular seems to think pretty highly of her both as a talent and a person as she recently went out of her way to give her a happy birthday shout out and really put her over in her book as well an interview I read. If I remember correctly Emma was Charlotte's tryout opponent and really went out her way to look out for her when she really didn't have to. Most fan experiences I hear about her are really positive too and describe her as a really personable and friendly girl so who knows. Maybe that writer was really just a deuche. If it wasn't for attitude reasons though I really don't know why else they would cut her as they've released very few talents from the main roster the last few years. Only reasons I can think of are that they were pissed off about the Emmalina thing flopping or it was just for simply budget cut reasons and Emma, Summer Rae, and Darren Young were who they chose as they were all lower card talents who weren't being productive due to spending a lot of time on the shelf due to injuries. The timing of her release was definitely very odd with her just coming off the Asuka matches in which she was booked very competitive in and with the first Women's Rumble just a few months way where they were so desperate for bodies. You think they would've at least waited until after that before they gave her the boot.

BTW, what is her look supposed to be exactly? Like, a dominatrix or a biker? Or someone from the Matrix? …….Or a dominatrix biker who is from the Matrix? With the glasses and the gloves I always thought it was based off Lara Croft, the main character in the Tomb Raider video games. At least that's what it's always come off like to me even more so now that she's gone brunette. Idk what the inspiration was for the gloves. But she said in an interview with Atout the glasses idea she had because of the movie Big Daddy, where a kid puts on the "magic" sunglasses to ease his anxieties. So she used the sunglasses to transform to a more confident character with Evil Emma. www.youtube.com/watch?v=_aTtdYrJBXQ (~10 minute mark)

It was certainly strange, also because the better sources like Sapp, Meltzer or PWInsider afaik had so little to say about it/were confused. Sapp said higher ups were even scouting her on her indie premiere to see how she does, making things even more mysterious. There was the one guy you mentioned, he works for prowrestlingsheet, was also on reddit and claims he is a former creative (it is disputed though, some people think he simply used some storylines they knew from Jimmy Jacobs and made his creative status up). He's the guy who said she was the worst during his time and it is also him who reported attitude as release reason. Who knows, but I assume it may have been based on one interpretation or he just makes up what he thinks is believable. It's so completely contrary what multiple other people say, for example the former (real) creative Naylor had good words about her or there's also a nice shoot interview with LeFort from NXT. An indie promoter in my country (Jakobi from wxw) where she wrestled, called her a role model and said he wishes others would be that easy to get along with too.
I've talked with her a bit too and I think Tenille can come off as a bit sassy (maybe that leads to wrong interpretations, I thought it's great ), but she's kind and nice to talk to.
Maybe the reason that no good source had much to say is that there never was "the" reason, but a series of things that did lead to a bad standing between her and the management. Or it were really just the health problems.
Obviously the short arrest several years ago was bad - the reason was rather ridiculous with her probably by accident just not properly scanning in one of the items, but tmz jumping on it was obviously not something the company liked and did lead to a near-release. Also the injury 2016 at a time when maybe one time something was in plan for her. And it has a backstory related to her usual terrible luck. WWE reported first that Emma’s ruptured disc is something she’s been dealing with for a while, and it aggravated. Then later they realised what's that implying and acted like it was a sudden injury. Casey from scs (who is usually reporting things like the tryout and NXT classes) said they - instead of giving time off - told her to just ice it and continue. Summer Rae said it was so bad, that she had to help Tenille put her clothes on. The result was in the end that she demanded a scan and it came out she desperately needed surgery now. Them with this episode nearly putting her permanently into a wheel chair was surely great for the relationship too. Then the Emmalina thing after she just developed her new gimmick. With her having a skin condition (that she can't control if live in opposite to a photoshoot) probably an even worse choice, that seemingly did lead to further disappointments. Her being the jobber for a desperate Jax face turn was bad for the fan reactions too. They buried her so deep that she wasn't even credible as a jobber to the stars, so that a win for Asuka wasn't worth much anymore.
She really went into all the bad situations there and it makes me sad how it even continued post-wwe with being lured to Roh, who then did nothing, and her health problems. Hopefully things turn around this year .

Hopefully things turn around this year . I've seen interviews with her where she herself even admits that she has very dry smart ass/sarcastic sense of humor that is often misinterpreted and tends to rub people the wrong people way. The interviewer, Alicia Tout, though said she loves that aspect about her. It looks like you thought it was great too. I guess it's one of those things where if you get it and realize there's no malicious intent it's can be funny and even endearing but if you don't it can come off as her being a bit of a b----. Maybe that's what happened with that writer and possibly other people in management. It seems like her dry sense of humor is more in a sassy way that takes the piss out of other people as apposed to being self depreciating which I can easily being something that could rub some people the wrong way. That 2016 back injury sounds even worse then now with that info. I think she probably came back too soon from it as she was back wrestling on house shows like four months after surgery which seems way too soon with the severity of the injury. I think a lot of the problem when it comes to her getting injured so much is that she might be rushing her rehab where she's good enough to get cleared but isn't fully healed and as a result reaggravates the injury or overcompensates in protecting the injury and suffers another injury somewhere else. In 2017 she also suffered a torn labrum which was another big blow for her as it likely earned her an injury prone label with management due to her just recently coming back from the back injury. She came back in just one month after that one. In comparison Fandango has been out since last July with the same injury. The Nia Jax squash losses were clearly punishment matches for her whining on Twitter around that ime (which probably also might have been a reason for her release) about her lack of push as both her and Nia were actually heels at the time and that's not a match they would've booked under normal circumstances. Speaking of Nia I was kind of under the suspicion there also might have heat there that might have also played a factor in her release even though nothing was ever reported about it. I remember a Twitter exchange between the two after a tag match where they teamed together where Emma clearly in character sent a tweet out to her blaming them for losing with Nia then replying in full shoot mode about her blowing the Emmalina thing. Also around the time of Emma's matches with Asuka was when Nia went on her mysterious leave of absence. Then after Emma was released guess who came back. With Emma's sense of humor and Nia notoriously being very sensitive I could see them not getting along too well. Maybe I'm looking too much into it but it seems very coincidental.

She also delivers her dry sense of humour like it has to be done - with no visible emotion at all . Dana Brooke had a q&a on her instagram stories some time ago, where she said after the death of her former boyfriend it was Tenille who never went away from her side till she was back on track. I sympathise with Tenille as the cool-chilled and still very warm-hearted misadventurer. About the Jax situation: According to Meltzer back then they pushed Nia strong to be the title challenger to Alexa (which they then delayed to Wrestlemania). I think they just didn't care how bad Emma looked there with even being outwitted in the story. Tenille's tweets were just there to support that story (a friend asked a person around her and it was confirmed they were for creative). Nia is according to Sapp among her co-workers known to be reckless though (he talked on his podcast about it, here's him also answering it short on Reddit www.reddit.com/r/SquaredCircle/comments/9ww2k1/fightful_article_said_it_was_originally_reported/e9q6d3p/?context=0 ). So it wouldn't be a surprise I guess if she went overboard vs Emma to make herself look good, knowing Emma has the order to job. I don't know what's the relationship. Wade Keller was after Tenilles' release on a podcast asked about it. And he said at least when he asked somebody that would know if attitude and maybe a Nia-conflict was the reason - he got told No, without the source wanting to reveal the reasoning.

And he said at least when he asked somebody that would know if attitude and maybe a Nia-conflict was the reason - he got told No, without the source wanting to reveal the reasoning. That's cool that she was there for Dana like that. Even though they were partners I never got the feeling they were really that tight outside the ring. In a interview shortly before she got released I think Emma said that she mainly traveled with Summer Rae and then after Summer was taken off the road she just started traveling by herself as she prefers keeping to herself and being on her own schedule which I understand. Even though her and Dana maybe weren't that close I do get the sense they definitely were fond of each other. I remember Dana posting a long and very touching piece on social media about Emma when she went down with her back injury. Nia seems to be someone who is kind of a polarizing figure in the locker room. It seems a lot of people like her but I also sense some don't really care for her most likely due to her being reckless in the ring. I will say that I don't think she comes off that well in interviews especially when it comes to the Becky Lynch thing. Whenever it's brought up she never mentions anything about feeling bad or worried about Becky and instead just talks about how she was worried for herself due to people being mad at her and how it worked out in the end due to her getting more heat and Becky becoming even more popular. Granted it seems like this was encouraged by people like Charlotte and Paige who were consoling her and trying to cheer her up by putting a positive spin on it but I don't know it doesn't really sit well with me. Yeah it ended up being a minor injury and everything worked out better for everybody but what if it didn't and what if Becky's got a concussion so bad that she had to retire? I know people like Charlotte and Paige were just trying to be supportive of their friend but I think with safety it needs to addressed more seriously if it is becoming a common occurrence like it has been with Nia. I think it gets swept under the rug too much.
