This is not to undermine the importance that Kofi got the belt and such.
But now that Kofi is WWE Champ, what will be done with Big E and Xavier?
The one I REALLY hope doesn't happen any time soon is one or both of them turning on Kofi and trying to take the gold from him. They are too good together that after all this it would be a slap in the face to fans this soon, IMO.
Going back to chasing the Tag Titles, at the moment, would seem somewhat of a step back to me despite the Tag Gauntlet thing.
Me personally? While Kofi rocks things with the WWE Title, I wouldn't mind Big E wanting his own singles success and targeting Samoa Joe and the US Title. I could see them bringing out a good power battle between the two. Xavier's a tougher nut to crack though. He works well as a hype/trombone man for both Kofi and Big E and works well in the tag scene, but other than taking some time here and there to go to 205 Live (he is billed at 205) I can't see much else for him other than Tag stuff. And the 205 thing...would feel like a major step back for Xavier (unless WWE wanted to REALLY try to boost 205 Live again and use Xavier to help that like they did Enzo when he was on the brand).

Honestly, I wouldn't be totally shocked if Vince announced a triple threat on Smackdown tomorrow night, with no build up, between the New Day for the title. It would be stupid and a wasted opportunity, but I just feel like they're going to be setting up a breakup sooner rather than later.

I have a terrible feeling they're going to turn E heel during Kofi's celebration on Tuesday. E vs Joe sounds good though. I wouldn't mind them going for the all the belts although New Day Usos is done to death. Probably need a switch to Raw.

In story, he'd have to give a reason that either Big E or Xavier wouldn't just lay down for Kofi and let him win. The only positive I can think of for a New Day break up really is that we MIGHT get the return of "S.O.S." as Kofi's theme.

I'd like to see Big E win Money in the Bank.
He doesn't even need to cash in on Kofi, it would just make an interesting story, if just for the tease.

Depends on who Kofi's feuding against. If it's a heel with lackeys then there ya go. If it's someone without lackeys then I can see them getting in the mix with the tag scene again and/or someone getting a midcard title.
I'm not worried about someone turning heel or anything wild like that, not with New Day. They're definitely going to stay a team tho.

SRS heel Big E sounds like absolute trash so I hope they just remain face and a group going forward.

They're not going to break up. All three members have made it clear they have no interest in that and they have enough pull that Vince listens to them.

I’ve said before, Xavier is in the cruiserweight limit-have him win the CW belt and Big E the US title.

Whatever they do, keep them together. Do not break up the New Day.

I think the move here might be to have Vince be pissed that Kofi won the belt, so he sends Woods and E over to Raw in the Shakeup so Kofi has to do it all on his own from now on.

I said it before once Kofi's journey was over the next step was to start putting that tension between new day....because if Kofi just wins the title and New Day just goes about everything exactly as they are that is really shitty storytelling and kills both Xavier and more so especially Big E as characters....because why wouldn't atleast 1 if not both start thinking about their own careers and what they could achieve now that they helped Kofi achieve his dream.
Xavier IMO is the easiest one to turn heel because they can just use the fact that he continues to emphasis WE in everything having to do with Kofi...gradually turn up the selfishness....Kofi says I....Xavier corrects him with WE and eventually have Kofi confront him over it...and Xavier retorts that without he and Big E Kofi would never have the title.
New Day may not want to break up...but for the betterment of the characters it pretty much has to happen and if it were to never happen Big E would be amongst the most wasted talents of all time because everyone can see what he could be as a singles guy with the rocket strapped to him.

Whatever they decide, DO NOT turn them heel and break-up The New Day - that's SO predictable, such a tired story idea and wouldn't work at all in this case after all they've been through together to get Kofi to this point.
I'm expecting Bryan to add a third guy to his stable (Harper?) and them doing a 6-man programme for a while leading to the title rematch in a couple of months - which I think would be awesome.
After that, I agree Big E needs a singles title run. Woods I don't think needs a title programme at this point, just give him some stuff to do with the other two until an opponent for him emerges for him to feud with further down the card.

I hate the obsession with breaking up teams that work.

Heel turn for Big E in the next little bit.
"But whose side is he on?" for Xavier (who will be revealed as the mastermind and hype man for Big E).
It's like on a soap opera whenever a couple says they'll be in love forever, then in the next episode she discovers her man drugged in bed with her arch nemesis. Of course they're going to break up.

Joke answer: Freebird the title. For realsies: The easy thing to do would be to break them up, have someone turn, whatever. But I dunno, doesn't seem to do that to them, specifically if someone becomes a serious (boring) heel. No reason they can't stick together during this run, even when Kofi loses the belt.

Tease that E is the one who turns, have it be Xavier.
Nobody thought Rollins would be the one who turned on the Shield, but it launched him into the next level. Have them do the same thing here.

Wouldn’t mind Kofi as WWE Champ, Woods/E as Tag Champs.
