I’d be pretty pissed if I paid money for a ticket, was promised a title match like that, waited 3 f’n hours for it, and got a tag match with the Bar instead.

I said i another thread,to keep viewers WWE needs to be very consistent with good booking.People have gotten tired of taking shit for months for one good moment, the reaction is just part of that This may have been a small thing in the grand scheme, but it came right after of High Expectations.
I didnt watch it,but you could have had a beatdown to end the show instead fo the tag ,that probably wouldn been better.

I’m willing to bet Boneforce is the name of the mutant bird in the box. That’s what the cough meant! Abandon all hope, yea who continue to watch this.

I just felt massively relieved. I was suddenly terrified they were gonna yank the rug out from under Kofi.
Screw finish sucked, shouldn't have booked the bout either, but given they did I was just relieved.

Slightly off topic I think, while I know a lot of things in the "wrestling bubble" don't make complete sense, but are things like this the laziest? You have a one-on- one world title match and two people interfear. The match is supposed to be important and both competitors are fine, do you restart the match? Send the people who interfered to the back? They jumped into a match thst wasn't there's on national tv, ruining your t.v. show and potentially ripping off wrestlers and customers. Are they fined? Suspended or even fired to show that it won't be tolerated?
Nope, important match gets forgot about, showing it never really mattered, and two people who ruined it get to feature in the main event, encouraging everyone on the roster to ruin any match they want.
I know it's wrestling but when you apply the slightest bit of logic to it you really see how badly things are written lol

I'll echo what I said in another thread.
Yes, nobody really expected (or wanted) Kofi or Seth to drop their title after just one day. So why even do the match? Nobody forced them too. Fans weren't hijacking shows asking for it. People weren't threatening to boycott if they didn't book this match.
WWE bit off more than they could chew by trying to come up with a big main event for their biggest Raw of the year, then came up with the lamest possible solution to get out of it.
There were dozens of ways to go even after booking the match. Bryan and Rowan interrupt and we get a tag match where if Bryan gets the win, he wins the respective title. Boom, the fans get their high stakes match and Kofi/Rollins aren't hurt by it. I just came up with that off the top of my head - WWE make it a lot harder than it has to be sometimes.

That was a wild bait and switch, huh? It's not like that's an uncommon tactic in wrestling BUT you also have to accept that you're gonna piss some folks off. That's the bullet every promoter worth their salt has to bite when booking something like this. The alternative better be comparable or you're gonna catch flack. Especially when it's the most high profile Raw of the year.
What's bizarre is, they could have very easily done Bar vs. Kofi/Seth without the weird "title v. title" tease and likely would have gotten no complaints. Point blank, they got a bit too greedy with this one. They tried to have their cake and another cake too.

I saw something screwy coming pretty much the moment they started advertising a celebration for Smackdown, but I was hoping for something better, not something that could've been easily put together at the beginning of the show.
WWE should know these two rules by now: don't promise what you're not ready to deliver, and nobody likes a bait and switch.
