Archinald Peck is one of the best minds for the business out there today. They just lost a great performer.
He'll bounce back. I can see him going right to AEW, bringing RD Evans back, or even bringing Archibald Peck back as well, dude at the time was one of the most over people on the Indies, can be so again.
And f*** Vince, what a complete asshole.

So many of you need to edit your posts to remove the V word. DO YOU WANNA GET FIRED OR WHAT?!
(seriously though that's terrible for that guy.)

That is horrible. Biggest weekend of the year for that man and he loses his job over petty shit like that. f*** you, Vince. You know what I don't get? Why does no one whoop his ass? Forgive me if this is out of line, but put yourself in that guy's position. I'm working my ass off to the best of my ability. I am giving everything I have to this company and I randomly get fired because someone said his name in a speech? If I am that guy, as soon as he fires me, I'm slapping him in his 167 year old face and calling him a stupid old bitch. I know that my reaction may seem extreme, but Vince McMahon is pulling food out of this guy's children's mouths and making them struggle over something stupid like this. Yeah, I'm beating his ass and taking my chances. Knowing the way that company works, the next day Vince is hiring me back with a promotion and raise.

Hopefully Robert Evans lands on his feet as it always sucks to lose a job. I don't know enough about the work ethic of someone I've never heard of to judge if they should be let go or not. I get that its fun to associate Vince with Monty Burns and everything, but it doesn't seem valid here. There is very little information to go on. For all we know Evans made many mistakes, Vince specifically told him that his name not be mentioned, and then this was the last straw. Alternatively, it is just as possible that Evans was a capable worker and was unjustly fired on the whims of an out of touch old dude. If the latter is the case then hopefully Evans can find work elsewhere in an environment that treats him better. If the former is the case then hopefully Evans adapts or switches to a position elsewhere more suited for him.

In the real world people get arrested and charged with Assault and Battery for doing that, for starters...

However, I am also of the belief that some things are worth getting arrested over. Beating the shit out of an innocent old man is not. Beating the shit out of an old man who takes food out of my children's mouths, clothes off of their backs, and a roof off of their heads, simply because he heard his name mentioned positively during a speech, is. I would GLADLY go to jail for that.

Evans is connected enough on the indies that he's gonna be able to write his own ticket, really. If he's interested in coming back in a wrestling capacity, I can't think of a company that WOULDN'T want him, and if he's only interested in a backstage role, I'm sure he would have AEW and ROH fighting over him, as he has friends in both organizations.

I would never fire someone for it but I get why Vince does not want his name mention in HOF in general.

This is also the guy who thought 90 days was a reasonable suspension time for Titus O'Neil

I hope somehow the truth is that he ACTUALLY actually quit though, due to Mr. McMahon yelling at him one too many times, driving him past the point of being able to tolerate him as boss.

This is also the guy who thought 90 days was a reasonable suspension time for Titus O'Neil No no no, he thought FIRING was a reasonable response. He had to be TALKED DOWN to 90 days.

He had to be TALKED DOWN to 90 days. oh yeah, I totally forgot about that, whether you think he should have been suspended or not 90 days/firing is a OTT response

I would like some things cleared up if possible,
Bret mentions Vince, and then Evans gets screamed at/fired. Was this all before or after Bret was attacked? Is it possible that a flustered/emotional Vince lashed out at Evans as a result of the attack?
