In the real world people get arrested and charged with Assault and Battery for doing that, for starters... I am 100% well aware of that. However, I am also of the belief that some things are worth getting arrested over. Beating the shit out of an innocent old man is not. Beating the shit out of an old man who takes food out of my children's mouths, clothes off of their backs, and a roof off of their heads, simply because he heard his name mentioned positively during a speech, is. I would GLADLY go to jail for that. Holy f***, this is one of the more bullshit, try hard, galaxy brained posts, that I have seen in awhile So, you're gonna attack your employer because he's "taking food off of your table, and clothes off your back?" What do you think going to jail and having a criminal record is going to for you!? And if you seriously need this explained to you, you probably don't deserve to be hired in the first place.

At what point do you stand up for yourself and your family?

To me, DX come off as the real assholes here. They come out and make a big joke about what a dude just lost his job over? That is pretty low class in my opinion.
And how does this make Bret feel? He got a guy fired with his HOF speech, that would make anyone feel terrible. Bret seems like the kind of guy that would stand up for the dude so he doesn’t lose his job.
Nope, I am not buying this, there has to be more to it than that. Couldn’t just be the mere mention of Vince.

I didn't realize before this year that the speeches were on a teleprompter.
Even the legends need long HOF promos written for them.
"Wrestling is fake" just takes on new forms and they don't even try to deny it with their actions.

You know what I don't get? Why does no one whoop his ass? Forgive me if this is out of line, but put yourself in that guy's position. I'm working my ass off to the best of my ability. I am giving everything I have to this company and I randomly get fired because someone said his name in a speech? If I am that guy, as soon as he fires me, I'm slapping him in his 167 year old face and calling him a stupid old bitch. I know that my reaction may seem extreme, but Vince McMahon is pulling food out of this guy's children's mouths and making them struggle over something stupid like this. Yeah, I'm beating his ass and taking my chances. Knowing the way that company works, the next day Vince is hiring me back with a promotion and raise. In the real world people get arrested and charged with Assault and Battery for doing that, for starters... In the real world, yes. In the world of Vince McMahon..... who the hell knows

At what point do you stand up for yourself and your family? Dude, how old are you? And how have you managed so survive this long with a mindset that it’s acceptable to assault a septuagenarian over a job disagreement? I’d have a hard time backing the guy who assaulted a 70 year old man who was physically in his house trying to steal a slice of bread from the toaster. You also believe Sniches get Stiches too don’t you?

PrisonI will not disagree with any of the statements that attack my previous statement. I would totally be an example of "when keeping it real goes wrong." But to elaborate on my previous statement, I am just trying to say that it's a wonder that none of these guys that he treats like shit has done anything to him. I know that it would be wrong. But in that moment, with tensions and emotions running high, Vince McMahon should consider himself lucky that good sense has prevailed over raw emotion. It does not always do so. I do acknowledge that I am probably taking it too far. It's just that you hear the stories of him screaming at the writers, treating them with no respect, and just being a bully. There are stories of him running one writer off the road in an impromptu drag race, kicking the writers out of the WrestleMania party (the one company party they have a year) because he didn't think they deserved to be there, despite their working all year just like the wrestlers, and now this story of firing that poor guy (which may or may not be true with recent revelations). I am simply asking how he gets away with this, not necessarily with someone punching him in the face, but also no lawsuits or investigations into the way he treats his employees? How does he get away with these actions? When I was growing up, at least some news show like 20/20 or A Current Affair would have done a damning expose about what it was like to work under the guy.

WWE was always a dream of mine but the more I read about these backstage stories, it seems like a god awful place to work.

Okay, you sound like a much more reasonable person when you break it down like that. Sorry for being over the top earlier. But asshole bosses are a fact of life, I’ve been yelled at for not answering my cell phone on New Years Day while I was f***ing. You either live with it, or move on. You don’t get to just sucker punch them.

Sean been smoking that peace pipe He sure as crap looked like he was blitzed during the speech...He was jittery as hell, forgetting his words and pacing, and also his pupils were HUGE...it was kind of scary to watch if you look at it from that perspective He was nervous as hell
