Didn’t Mysterio did that and ended up regretting it because they delayed it? Mysterio's was sketchier; they extended the hell out of his contract due to repeated injuries when he was about ready to go when his contract was up, but they decided to keep him and not even use him on TV or anything, just hold him down. All so they could cool him off and keep him out of Lucha Underground. That wasn't Mysterio's choice, the company pulled a dick move to hold him hostage.

In some ways I want to believe Sasha is not really petty (since all we have are 2nd hand sources on her mindset about this issue) and she just really wants a vacation from WWE with her man Mikaze. Cause literally whenever Sasha gives Vince the nod, he would probably book her in any singles ppv main event for whichever title she wants whenever she wants to return from her 'hiatus'. It furtively might be a really smart business decision from The Boss to get back on top instead of riding the #3 position behind The Man and The Empress.

So, I'm gonna be that guy again... Does anyone have ANYTHING to back up the claims that Sasha is difficult or egomaniacal, other than one recent report from sources even worse than Meltzer that sounds about as made up as it gets? I mean, not only is the idea of Sasha doing that insane, but Bayley too? And right after taking a smiling photo with the new champs? I ain't buying that goofy shit and I can't believe anyone actually is. Also, people are reading WAY too much into a very basic Tweet from Bayley. Not to mention that nothing has ever really come out about her attitude before. None of the women seem to have an issue with her, except possibly Alexa (which may or may not be a work). I've never heard anything about her being problematic until all this, which... Sasha went from being a top dog in NXT and her early main roster run to...just nothing. They aren't doing anything with her and haven't in a LONG time. Then they toss her the tag titles, which she apparently helped even make a reality, finally starts having a purpose again...and then loses them in a fluke win to a joke team. If there is ANY truth to the supposed promise of being allowed to keep the titles and make them mean something, I could see that being the final straw. As hard as it may be for some of you to believe, not everyone is satisfied simply by making a lot of money. Some folks want to have a purpose, to push themselves, to find new territory in their field. Some people actually give a shit about what they do. Neville, for example. How is Sasha making her stand any different? Neville could have continued making good money and just going through the motions until his contract ran out. But he didn't want that. He wanted more, and he wanted them to not do anymore damage to his brand. So he went home, and by doing so, made himself one of the most anticipated returns in the business in a LONG time. So how is Sasha different? She's unhappy with the way she's being used and is making a stand, same as Neville. Or Harper. Or Goldust. Or Itami. Or any of the other folks that have asked for releases lately. Yet, none of them seem to be getting the same treatment as Sasha. In fact, almost all of them are being applauded for what they've done. It just seems really odd that in a company chock full of people trying to get out, it's been decided that this ONE person is bad, and not the company in this situation. All the others? "WWE is awful and this person is doing the right thing by leaving." Sasha Banks? "She has an attitude problem from what I heard 5th-hand by a wannabe Dave Meltzer so she should just shut up and do her job." Makes no f***ing sense. If we're disregarding dirt sheets, what is there really to believe she is unhappy, or signed a new contract, or asked for her release, or had broken promises about the tag titles etc. I get that these are all just rumours, but it's also only a discussion board. I don't see how you can pick and choose which bits you want to buy into.

All of us on FAN complain about WWE's shitty booking. Sasha has every right to complain about it too. I hope she gets out of her contract if she wants to...though I also hope she doesn't break her neck outside of WWE.

All so they could cool him off and keep him out of Lucha Underground. That wasn't Mysterio's choice, the company pulled a dick move to hold him hostage. Yet now he's back with them. Which goes to show that the McMahon philosophy of 'make money, don't hold grudges' applies to wrestlers as well as the WWE itself. In most cases. If the reports about Sasha are true, then she's potentially burning bridges that she might regret. With the company and with other performers. She seems to have backed herself into a corner here, perhaps through pride and stubbornness, and I don't see how it's going to help her. She might be better off coming back and seeing if the WWE is going to commit to making some changes. And if they don't, then there must be a lot of creatively frustrated people in the company, and if they all got together and made their grievances public, then something would have to happen. What's the WWE going to do, fire everyone? In the past, maybe Vince would want to do that, but I can tell you who wouldn't want him to - the USA and Fox networks. Wrestlers using collective power to force changes within the company would be unprecedented, since Hogan snitched on Jesse Ventura trying to set up a wrestlers' union, but the landscape is very different now. It's possible that, with the right message, they could achieve something.

I fully support Sasha in this. I don't remember, but were people on this board just as negative when Pac did it, or is it different because it's Sasha? Also, I love how they're independent contractors for healthcare and saving on tax purposes for the WWE, but the second someone wants to work elsewhere, "No you're a damn employee with a contract." That's what years of political connections and monopolization of an industry without fear of anti-trust issues gets you. I applaud Ventura for trying so many years ago. If someone wants to leave, they should be allowed to leave. Forcing people to work somewhere against their will is just wrong, no matter what you pay them. Here's the thing /HHH When you quit WWE because of a scripted title change, in a scripted 'sport' you are being petty. Sasha is being petty. Just like the Montreal Screwjob but I guess Sasha had more class to drop the titles without Vince needing to swerve Sasha and call an audible to pry it from her fingers. This is sports-entertainment. If Sasha thinks she's better than all the other women, fine. But to insist that she be given her toy or she will take her ball and go home is childish. It's not professional in the slightest. So I can't be on Sasha's side here. She signed the contract and she will incur huge penalties for being this petty about her booking "slights" (in reality Sasha is legit #3 in the pecking order of all women in all of WWE, behind Becky and Asuka I would put her, and Charlotte right after Sasha since Charlotte's lost to Bex/Sasha many times when titles were on the line and the lights were bright). How much more of a push do you need to get after being involved in so many 1st for the Women's Division? Sasha's big head needed to be deflated and I'm stoicly on WWE Creative with this one. Let her cool off if she wants to kill her buzz, while other women take over the #3 position if that's what Sasha wants to do. It's her funeral. The idea that Sasha leaving or even Montreal going how it did was just over a fake fighting belt is pretty misleading, I think.

Neville was out for like a year and they added time on his contract when I think he only had a few more months before his contract ended Sasha signed a new contract last year I believe. Assuming it was at least 2 years, she is going to be sitting for a year and change which is almost career suicide
She's probably nowhere NEAR all her dates. They're definitely going to toll her for the unfulfilled dates. Maybe, but maybe not. If they were to do that, they would open themselves up to a lawsuit regarding her status as an "independent contractor" and unlike previous lawsuits she would obviously have standing to sue them over the terminology. I can imagine that it is safer for WWE stock prices to simply pay her her minimum to sit at home, pouting or not.

I know some will make the comparison to Neville riding out his contract but I think this is different. Neville was someone that was never especially well used on the main roster in WWE and was reduced to screwing around on 205 Live. Add in his lack of WM DVD payoff and having to job out to Enzo and I can see why the guy was legit upset. Sasha Banks though? She was in the first ever women's PPV main event, multi time champion, and one of a select few to have held both the women's title and tag titles. After pulling this stunt I really wonder if a company like AEW would want her.

I haven’t paid much attention to this but her rumoured attitude problem has clearly come to the surface. I always thought the Sasha vs Alexa rivalry reminded me of Sable vs Sunny in the respect Sasha is Sunny who can’t stop mouthing off while Alexa is Sable and keeps her mouth shut.
With the amount of women they have she has overvalued her stock and made a big mistake
