Man they really are in a tizzy about Dusty Rhodes’s kids wrestling promotion aren’t they? Enough of a tizzy to offer dudes they don’t want to use millions to do nothing, too.

Why would they think that Rhyno would even be on AEW's radar, let alone a coup for them to sign? This makes it seem like the WWE is going full 'paranoid dictator', seeing conspiracies and plots behind every curtain.
And why aren't the WWE offering him the opportunity to work as an agent/trainer? The guy has over twenty years in the business, and he's worked with a lot of the very best.

If I was Rhyno I would negotiate a title run for Heath Slater to extend for another year, then leave anyways once that year is complete once they give Slater the push.

This is something he could regret down the line if he, God forbids, ends up in financial trouble. This could as well be WWE tactics to fizzle out talent with potential and get them out of the industry loop so they cannot be as relevant as they could be right now.

I feel sorry for JTG,you know he wouldn't be turning down all this money to job or sit at home. If I was JTG I would go online and start loudly badmouthing the company in hopes they re-hire him out of spite

Could be, but this is Rhyno, the man's gone as high as he's ever going to and that was probably over 15 years ago. If I'm him, I'm taking the money, but it sounds like he wants to get out there and wrestle, and if he can afford it, good on him.

Shouldn’t their investors be alarmed? If all th we reports are true, they’re offering huge gobs of money to people that seemingly have very little value to the company. I mean, personally, I’m all for it. I hope the talent takes every dime they can get, it they choose to sign. But as a business practice, it seems irresponsible. I mean the WWE made 930 million dollars in revenue last year. A 300,000 dollar raise is a drop in the bucket. Their profit was only $53 million, though. Sure, $300K from that is still small change, but if Rhyno is getting offered double to stick around doing nothing, it's a fair assumption that pretty much everybody is gonna receive similar or better offers. With over 100 people on the main roster, that $53 million would be whittled away pretty quickly.

I'm guessing Rhyno's finances are probably just fine. He was able to run for office before he'd really even been back in WWE long enough to start seeing the benefits of it and that's not exactly a poor man's pursuit.
And he could probably make a killing doing indies just showing up long enough to gore people for a pop.

I wish my company would double what I earn so I could sit on my ass at home and make lame spaghetti... Shouldn’t their investors be alarmed? Honestly, if I was an investor, I would be questioning why money would be wasted on people who are being paid great wages to sit at home and do nothing when the money could be better used elsewhere. RHYNO WILL NOT BE COOKING THE SPAGHETTI

They want to pay you a lot to be a corpse basically. It must be some form of Hell. I can just imagine the Devil saying "you like money, come buddy but you won't do shit and won't be happy. Umm what do you choose?"

It seems that workers today are more about the sport of it than the money necessarily, which is refreshing.

Don't you dare pretend to be a cloud of smoke slowly losing the physical form of a perso--oh, he ran away, I live in a cartoon world where that happens.

This could as well be WWE tactics to fizzle out talent with potential and get them out of the industry loop so they cannot be as relevant as they could be right now. That depends on what his downside is, doesn't it? He's not a guy like Cena or Taker, the WWE have never been super generous with the downside money for lower carders, the real money comes from working dates. Double a pittance is still a pittance and if he's not being used for anything that pays, that's what he's getting, and he's locked in and unable to work elsewhere while he's sat waiting to be used. He's got a couple of years left in his career, he could make more money working indies than from a downside, and work outside of wrestling if he so chooses, so more power to him.
