So did they drop the ball with him? turning heel seemed almost as bad a decision as Tatanka. He was quite popular it seemed, I could see him going into 1994 with that face gimmick and having a short IC title run. He could of even been in Lugers spot at Summerslam 1993. He was pretty tall, towered over Yokozuna during the slam challenge and looked like a threat to him yet he never got put over anyone decent.

I liked how Demolition, Kona and Evil Crush were all different gimmicks despite it being the same guy. I suppose you could mention Convict Crush and KroniK in that too.

He was a limited worker and not very good at cutting promos. Great look, but that will only get you so far.

Crush was someone best suited to being a tag guy, the powerhouse in a big guy, small guy team. The IC belt was his ceiling as a solo performer and there's nothing wrong with that, he should have gotten a run with it in mid 90s, but having it cycle around between members of the kliq and their associates was the priority so he got lost in the shuffle.

His heel run was boring as heck imo. Wasn’t a fan of the look at all. He got big feuds against Savage & Luger but I never cared about him.

I liked Kona Crush and even though I was mad when he turned on Savage I thought his heel look was awesome. I loved the color scheme and the face paint. As others said the IC title was his ceiling but for whatever reason it never happened. I also thought it was funny that through so many gimmicks he was always just, Crush until returning in 2001. Has anybody had more gimmick overhauls while never changing their name?

What was a missed opportunity was when KroniK was in the WWF, there could have been a mention of Brian Adams being formerly known as Crush, same with Brian Clarke being formerly known as Adam Bomb.

There was just something missing. I can't name it. But it's something he just didn't have that would have made him a top guy.

He had that passé old school, didn’t work any longer style of heeling and facing.

Not much charisma not going to lie. A bit like Test really in that he played his role really well but didn't have a lot going for him outside of a few signature moves. I still wonder what coud have been as Kronik was a really badass repackaging and WWE gave up on them after one shitty match.

Kona Crush's theme was pretty great.

He just kinda seemed like face or heel he was the upper midcard guy you had the guy you were building up go over.

I'm wondering why they didn't bring him back as Crush after they sent him to OVW while Brian Clarke left. I would've loved to see to Crush back in 2002 or 2003.

The Doink feud did not really help his situation in 1993. Heel Doink was great but I'm sure there were some backstage who didn't want to job to Crush because he in turn had jobbed to /been cost matches by a clown. Turning him heel was I think saving him, in a way. He and Macho were friends even back then so I think that was a situation where Savage offered to work with his pal to get him over as a heel. What was a missed opportunity was when KroniK was in the WWF, there could have been a mention of Brian Adams being formerly known as Crush, same with Brian Clarke being formerly known as Adam Bomb. I'm wondering why they didn't bring him back as Crush after they sent him to OVW while Brian Clarke left. I would've loved to see to Crush back in 2002 or 2003. Didn't he leave OVW on his own not long after getting there anyway (while Clark just flat out quit when told to go to OVW), or was he let go after a while?

Crush had some charisma, just not face or faction leader level charisma, just physical charisma. He's the guy who stands behind a smarmy heel tag partner and wrecks guys on command, barely talking unless it's to express how he'll bleep you up.
In 97, they should have paired him with someone like Jackyl, it would have done more for both than the DOA or Truth commission.

Should have beaten HBK for the Intercontinental Championship at King of the Ring 93, and then had a short run before dropping it to someone else.
I dont think him being used to put Doink over helped his cause.
