I know a few years ago there was rumours that it was going to happen but would anyone really miss it or care?
Survivor has been going almost as long as the granddaddy of them all WrestleMania but has absolutely zero of the prestige. Granted when it first appeared it must have been amazing back in the days before monthly PPVs and weekly shows of superstar vs superstar. So many wrestlers on the card and all mixing it up with each other. Where else, other than perhaps the rumble could you tick off seeing your favourite wrestlers live?
It's been a bit meh for a good few years now. The traditional survivor matches which grabbed our attention up and down the card, are reduced to one or two token matches. Is the appeal of it all long gone for most and it's simply nostalgia keeping people hanging on to it?
If it was to stay, I'd add a little bonus or twist where the last match of the card is a battle royal were all the winners take part (admittedly it could end up being only an 8 man battle royal) and we will end up with a true sole survivor. Perhaps they could use it to push someone or push a storyline? Perhaps the winner could get a rumble spot?

I think plenty of traditionalists would be upset but I really don't think on the whole it'd be particularly missed. With very rare exception it's pretty much always been a useless filler show during the time I've been watching and that's 21 years.

Not really. I hate the Raw vs. Smackdown match ups they we're supposed to care about. It worked in 2005 where superstars were loyal to the brand they were wrestling on but when you have wrestlers changing shows every year it doesn't quite work.
I'd rather have King of the Ring back.

I mean, the name is redundant anyway. All WWE PPVs are fairly homogeneous these days, and the names are interchangeable. If they brought back a genuine survivor series set of matches, or had it be a tournament show or something, then it would find new life.

I like it. I'm a mark for any type of elimination style matches. I look forward to Survivor Series every year.

The forced brand loyalty crap--though it did give us a few hilarious old man Kurt moments--can go away.

As a kid I loved the elimination matches so Survivor Series was one of my favorite PPVs, but unintentionally hilarious brand loyalty shit aside, it's pretty useless now. I enjoyed the big matches it's given us lately (AJ/Brock, Bryan/Brock, Charlotte/Ronda, Seth/Nak), but it's not like anything was at stake in those matches. Plus with the brand split dying and the WILDCARD (BITCHES) RULE in place now, they don't even have to wait until Survivor Series anymore.

I would be totally fine with Undertaker losing a casket/buried alive match there this year, with Survivor Series being buried along with him at the show.

It’s their second longest running ppv, and if Wrestlemania is their Super Bowl, Survivor Series is their Pro Bowl. It’s a matter of building it, making matches and feuds mean something, and keeping opponents away from each other until the show (which should be easier when it’s brand vs. brand).

It's a totally worthless PPV, but I'd miss it.

May as well keep it. It has history and some unique matches.
It’s not like they would replace it with anything good. Last thing we need is another meaningless Payback or Battleground taking up space.

Nah, keep it. The name alone should be preserved, but they need to go back to uniquely named teams.

I am so beyond bored of the "Raw vs. SmackDown ONCE A YEAR" nonsense so I wouldn't care if they dropped Survivor Series.

Not for me. I hate it.
If they were really strict about the brand split and brand loyalty and stuff... it has POTENTIAL to be good.
I’d get rid of it and bring King of the Ring back.

The ppv has lost all meaning. MITB has surpassed it and really should be considered one of the Big 4. Unless they somehow make a traditional Survivor Series type match mean something and there be some sort of action for its winners, I see no real point in the ppv being a top draw.

Keep it. The last thing we need is another generic pay-per-view in its place. Even if nothing of long-term significance happens on the show, it at least offers something a little different.
With that said, they need to drop the Raw vs. Smackdown thing, especially after this past year.

Right now, it's just a name. It never gets built up the way it used to when it actually mattered. The Raw vs Smackdown teams don't really matter outside of like maybe a day or two of bragging rights after the event.
I'd rather see it booked as the big Fall show again more than removed, but WWE seems to have problems with that.

If they do ever decide to get rid of it, let the last one just have elimination matches and nothing else. Let it go out with a historically accurate bang.
I mean, the last one will just be a normal PPV, but it's nice to dream...
