Quite interesting seeing the morale being high, hopefully they leave Pursuit asap.

It's possible. The WWE/FOX deal and the AEW/TNA announcement have other TV stations realizing there may be money in this after all (disregarding the WWE ratings situation). I can imagine a few mid-level channels are looking at what's available already out there.

I can imagine a few mid-level channels are looking at what's available already out there. People are literally fighting for any and all live programming now. If Impact could sacrifice some cash and make that happen some networks afraid to lose streaming viewers would surely bite.

This definitely seems like the time to strike; there was buzz recently how there's nervous murmurs in the TV world about WWE's ratings slipping so steeply, but the AEW deal still indicates the hunger for live and/or sports-like products, so now's the time to get something halfway decent, before there's a chance that WWE underperforms on Fox and potentially hurts the perception of the industry.

The only issue is what's really left that isn't already McMahon related and with AEW that takes away the other big ones from the turner side. I'm sure anything is better pretty much to what they have now. Major however like what WWE and AEW will be hard to get because not much out there.

I think they'd have to pay for airtime on a larger channel

I hope this pans out, the product in the last year has been really good (better than WWE 90% of the time) and deserves to be on an actual channel people can see.

While it would be nice for them to get a TV station for revenue for the company and maybe better exposure and pay for their workers... If it comes at the cost of the Melissa Santo's Technical Difficulties Commercial segments I will be very sad.
I joke, but seriously the twitch stream and discussion stuff really helps me to feel invested in the show and what has happened/is happening/and could happen throughout the night.

The new TV deal is that Ed's getting a brand new 4K set during the Memorial Day sales.

I hope they get on a better network they deserve it. During like 2010-2017 was when they should have been on some pissant channel no one had. Now they are actually making good shows. It's the only wrestling show I go out of my way to watch every week now.

I’d probably start watching again if they got back on television. I’ve been enjoying my time away from Impact to be honest, but I’d watch the premier if they land a deal.

While I’d like to see the improved Impact on a better network, I’ve been trying to think what mid-to-upper tier networks might be interested. Presumably, anything Fox, Comcast or AT&T/Warner is off the table at this point.
— Disney/ESPN? Eh, maybe, but I’d guess that if it’s not WWE, ESPN wouldn’t think it was worth their while.
— Viacom? If they’re not still holding the Dixie/Russo deal against Impact, this might be their best shot. Not Spike (since it no longer exists), but CMT might still be interested, and that wouldn’t at all be a bad network for them to be on. If it’s successful, they might even get some crossover appearances on other Viacom properties.
— Discovery? If that bridge hasn’t already been incinerated, perhaps. Discovery now owns Great American Country (the closest thing to a direct competitor to CMT), which is in more homes than Destination America, not to mention might be a better fit. And again, if it’s successful, there’s a lot of crossover potential.
— Tribune/WGN? I’d say they’re a contender, although I’d have expected Nordholm to talk to them in Chicago. (But do we know he hasn’t?)
Of course, there are a lot of other lower-tier networks that would probably be happy to have Impact, though I’d think Impact would prefer something better than effectively a lateral move.
Anyway, this is largely speculation, but it wouldn’t shock me to see Impact on CMT (or somewhere similar) announced soon.

Anything’s better than the incel network they’re in. Don't you mean inbred? Yeah, I know we made the jokes during the Destination America run, but Pursuit is literally run and catered exclusively to the backwoods survivalist who grew up from 5 generations of fearing the federal government after how the Civil War turned out.

Getting the runaround from a channel you went to because you're owned by the same people is sort of like your dad coaching your little league team but then naming you towel boy. Anything's better for them than Pursuit if it's this dire.

At this point, I see it either going to WGN America or picking up a streaming deal with DAZN or ESPN+ that will at least help cover some of the production costs. (I think ESPN+ is unlikely, but folks there are interested in pro wrestling even though they can't clear 52 weeks a year on ESPN or ESPN 2 in a consistent time slot. This could test the waters for them while not having to worry as much about a consistent time slot.)
