Now he will probably run the company better from a creative standpoint, but I wonder if he’s had a hand with people working hurt, the Ashley Massaro military thing ect. I can maybe see him encouraging people to work hurt (in the past atleast) since he’s done it himself, but I can’t see him being the type of guy to cover up a murder/rape

Triple H definitely does not encourage people to work hurt. He's the one who pulled the plug on that Bryan/Orton match where Bryan got the stinger.
There's this perception that Hunter is going to make the show about him when Vince is finally gone, but I don't understand that. If he wanted, he could make NXT all about himself, but he doesn't.

He's better than Vince but like most people he's got good qualities and bad qualities. From what we've seen he's mostly good.

Vince wanted to fire a guy because his name got said in a HOF speech. No. Vince helped cover up an actual murder. No.

That's going to be a no from me, dawg. The worst thing HHH is said to have done is play politics backstage, which isn't shit compared to any of Vince's sleazy actions.

I'm sure he has a big ego and has done a lot of politicking (which in the wrestling world can hurt careers and pay...but it also seems it is the way of the beast there as well), but I've never heard any real scummy stuff about him.

I guess there's the whole situation with him, Steph, and Chyna too. Did he cheat on Chyna with her? I don't remember how the story goes. I don't condone cheating, but I still can't put that on the same level as Vince (probably) covering up for a murder and the other shit. There's also his role in the Montreal Screwjob, but I'll consider that part of playing politics.

He might not be Vince, but he's no saint either. Triple H was a big part of the culture of racism backstage among members of management and non wrestlers, that culminated in guys like that social media oik making racist jokes about hispanic wrestlers which led to Alberto slapping the taste from his mouth. He was also in charge of overseeing NXT when Bill DeMott was at his worst, slapping people with concussions about the head, getting rough with people with injuries, being a bullying homophobe and generally being a crap human being. Talent complained to management and they were hung out to dry by them, something I have a hard time believing Hunter was oblivious to, given how eager he was to claim credit for everything positive about NXT while he was in charge of it.

It's easy to hate on Hunter because the kind of stuff he has done is realistic and relatable. He's more of a 'douchebag' than a scumbag. He played tons of politics, he always made sure to prop himself up at the expense of his peers, and has an unbelievably large ego. But...so do tons of other people we've encountered in our lives. Coworkers, classmates, friends, etc. It was always easy for the IWC to hate Hunter because everything he did was so relatable, but also within the realm of legality. Other than his personal ego he comes across as a normal human being with few eccentricities. Vince has covered up rapes, murders, verbally abused backstage personnel, and snaps at the most mundane things. Hunter has proved to be a well liked boss at least.

Is he going to be a perfect boss? No because he does have a penchant for ego and pettiness (see CM Punk) but Vince likely covered for Jimmy Snuka, Fabulous Moolah etc and that’s not even getting into how he actually is as a boss

Honestly, a guy who connived himself to the top of the card, and then did it more to stay there, is not in the same ballpark as a guy who covered up a murder and, allegedly, a rape, and ran a steroid racket from his office. And that's just the tip of the shitty iceberg, in terms of things Vince has done over the years.
Triple H does not have a high bar to clear, to be less of a scumbag than Vince.

I think Hunter is the sort of dude that is harder on himself than he is on others. He'd think HE was a failure for not finishing a match when he gets injured, but would not look down on anybody else that didn't.
Unless it was something really lame like stubbing a toe.

Triple H was heading up NXT while the female wrestlers were being sexually harassed by the strength coach, Jane Geddes was supposedly advocating for them and was quietly moved from her position in talent relations and then released, as was the unnamed female talent who went to talent relations to complain in the first place. I doubt, again, he was ignorant about the situation that happened under his watch and played no part in the pretend investigation they ran, which was basically a coverup.

A lazy answer I know, but he married into a family whose history in the early 2000's had to have been just as dubious as it is today. If he didn't know, he does, and he's waist deep in issues himself I'm sure on a corporate level.

He'd have to suddenly do a lot of colossally shitty things behind the scenes to even be in the same ballpark as Vince.

The skeletons in Vince’s closet have skeletons in their closet. So no.
Let’s see(off the top of my head)
The Snuka thing(allegedly) He had to know that Moolah was a scumbag Rita Chatterton(allegedly) He had to know about the ringboy scandal before it broke. Steroid scandal. the Ashley Massaro deal
Those are just the big ones that I can think of, he has a ton of other scummy moments to varying degrees. After all he’s in the “garbage business”

Probably not, no. He's not going to be an angel, but if he were as bad as Vince, then there'd still be one less Vince once he's stepped down, so we'd still be looking at less scum floating at the top of the pot.

He'd have to suddenly do a lot of colossally shitty things behind the scenes to even be in the same ballpark as Vince. This. Vince did some real grimy shit to protect his talent, his status and himself. Not even getting in to Sunka or the drugs, the BS he did to other promoters alone can put him above HHH.
