They should add his whiny "IT SHOULD'VE BEEN ME!" to the beginning of his theme song. Then have Snitsky yell it wasn't my fault in a teary tone.

Yeah, that's where I was on it. Conceptually and really writing-wise, that was good stuff. The delivery he just came off like such a whiny little bitch. Especially given this is the billionth time he's cut this promo. That was the point? I mean, to some level, sure, but I just found it comical and it certainly didn't get me invested in the story.

IMO the story they've set up isn't terrible, since the two kind of debuted around the same time, and have had similar career trajectories since (i.e. none). But the problem is that Ziggler is just so f***ing stale.

That promo was terrible. He sounded like he’s never won the big one and he’s been held back. Uh, you’ve had your chances and no one cared. Hard pass for me.

I think Bam Neely should return and demand a title shot.

I don't know how I feel about it. I was groaning when he did the run in, but I did like the idea behind the promo. I do wish he had toned down the crying a little bit, he came off as way too over the top for my liking. Like the whole time, I was thinking, "ok, I can buy he thought it should have been him, but I wish he'd shut up."
Also, "it should have been me" can literally apply to 90% of the guys on the roster, so there's every Kofi title feud, guys.

www.youtube.com/watch?v=gv8qLmyZp2IWell, enough is enough, and it's time for a change! I tried to be a nice guy... Come and take your best shot! I was a victim! I snapped! You turned your backs on me! Well enough! I tried to play by the rules...

I know I'm probably of the minority, but I kind of like this re-introduction to Dolph Ziggler as I feel like up until the fall of two-thousand of sixteen, most diehard fans of the product were rooting for him to breakthru the glass ceiling and the same could be said of Kofi Kingston as well.
So, there's a nice parallel between their careers where both have been with the company for an excessive of a decade, have a had a multitude of "start, stop" pushes that have resulted in expectations of them breaking thru said glass ceiling, but have resulted in fans slowly turning on them.
Obviously, Kingston found a second life with the formation of the New Day and Ziggler has managed to remain solidly in the midcard throughout his tenure with the company, but I kindly like this whole angle of "It should have been me." they're going with.
I also didn't feel like the promo was terrible either as it felt wrought with genuine emotion and frustration, but one thing I would have done is have him re-introduce himself as Nick Nemeth and maybe disowned the name of Dolph Ziggler, which would have given it another layer of realism and passion.
So, in general, I was fine with the whole angle, but also don't expect for it to lead to anything more than a match a "Super Showdown" before Ziggler disappears again for a few months.

Shoutout to them for doing that. I look forward to knowing who's not making the trip this time.

Shoutout to them for doing that. I look forward to knowing who's not making the trip this time. Well, so far we've got Owens, Zayn and almost certainly Bryan (which may be why they're not in any hurry to start a new program for him yet in the tag division). By proxy, since he's so intrinsically tied to Bryan's act, that could mean Rowan isn't going either, but he may end up being a body in that battle royal. Then you've got question marks over the other Canadian talents in the company like Roode, Young, Breeze, Mahal, Singh Brothers and Viktor, and I could see a bit of question mark over Ali, since I'm unsure whether his Pakistani heritage would be a problem or not.
