After looking bad in his first game it would be stupid to play him against the elite Pats D, IMO. If he starts the following game all should be good. Weβve all seen young QBβs get broken before... canβt let it happen to your guy. Yeah, but other than the Dolphins in Week 6, the Jets in Week 11, and possibly the Giants in Week 16 there aren't any defenses he would face this season that wouldn't be rough on a rookie QB. Yeah but the scenario is just about as bad as it can get this week. Patriots D has been murdering people and a first career start at home could get ugly quick.

Man, if you bet on the Colts at least covering the spread against the Chiefs tomorrow night, I have bad news for you.
- The Colts starting LBs may be Bobby Okereke and EJ Speed (Darius Leonard is out and Anthony Walker is questionable). - The Colts starting secondary may include rookie Marvell Tell at CB and CB Quincy Wilson at FS (along with CBs Desir and Moore and rookie SS Willis). Both starting safeties (Hooker and Geathers) are out and rookie Rock Ya Sin is questionable). - The Colts D-line is also affected as Tyquan Lewis is out, while DE's Turay, Sheard, and Muhammed are all fresh off of injuries.
That means that what resistance the Colts D were going to present the Chiefs offense is severely impeded.
You might think that the Colts, a decent scoring team, simply need to win a shoot out then, but then there are issues on the offense:
- The starting WRs might be Cain, Rogers, Pascal, and Dulin. Campbell and Funchess are both out and Hilton is questionable. - Marlon Mack is questionable, meaning that Wilkins will probably start if he can't play despite being the RB3 (though Hines would get more snaps than normal).
Oh, and Eric Ebron might still have a case of the drops. He was severely affected last week.

ESPN's Adam Schefter reports Josh Allen (questionable, concussion) is expected to play in Week 5 against the Titans.

Cardinals owner Bill Bidwell has died at the age of 88 When he bought the Cardinals & moved them from St. Louis to Phoenix, they were historically known as a failure. When he died... They were still known as a historical failure. Long live the Buzzsaw.

They were still known as a historical failure. Long live the Buzzsaw. Yep. They had a few playoff appearances, and almost won the Super Bowl, but for the most part, nobody takes them seriously. Shit, sometimes I forget they exist if not for Fitzgerald. Their biggest claim to fame is being the team featured in Jerry Maguire. lol.

The Bidwill family has owned the Cards since they were in Chicago. I don't think Bill actually bought the team but inherited it from his mother after her death.

Honestly, I am so happy this post didnβt age that well.

Guy failed to deliver but let's be real. Washington's problems are systematically at the top.

Guy failed to deliver but let's be real. Washington's problems are systematically at the top. I figure he will get another chance somewhere. That team was terribly dysfunctional at the top and, outside of this season and his first season, they were a 0.500 squad under him despite lacking the tools needed to win. He may still have been part of the problem, but that team is a mess regardless of who the coach is so I doubt he'll get the blame when it comes time to interview for a new job.

On less good news for Colts fans, it appears Kemoko Turay broke his ankle getting that last sack last night.
I expect to see the following moves in the next day or so:
- Turay to IR - Jihad Ward resigned or, - Gerri Green to main roster (they picked him back up for their PS after NE waived him) - Hale Hentges to PS - Brian Price resigned to PS (if Gerri Green is elevated)

Jay Gruden got hosed, he deserves another chance to be the head man --- with a fully functioning organization

Washington will remain a meat-grinder until Daniel Snyder moves on. He's doing his best to out Davis the Davis Family.

So glad Gruden is gone. His ceiling was 9-7. Very mediocre. We'll probably have trouble getting an top notch coach because we are a dumpster fire right now. So Dan has to give up the $$$$$$$$ to get someone. Getting rid of Gruden is a step in the right direction.

The team has had 5 winning seasons since Snyder bought the team (three 10-6 seasons and two 9-7 seasons). That is the case despite having one HoF coach and two others getting serious consideration leading the team at different times. The team is 139-185-1 since he bought the team. Believe it or not, there has been only one coach who had a winning record while Snyder was owner (Norv Turner) and he got fired midseason despite his team having a winning record at the time. The problem is the owner, full stop.

Jay has had talented players and underachieved. He was a poor in game coach, never made adjustments and poor clock management. Can't blame that on the owner. Dan Synder does need to hire a GM, step back and let him run the show. I doubt that'll ever happen but with the right coach this team would be in playoff contention. Jay isn't cut out to be a head coach. Front office should of known that.
