When AEW kicks off their weekly TV shows, where do you see them holding their events? For Chicago, they seem to have the Sears Center as their arena of choice, which makes sense since WWE probably has an exclusive deal with the Allstate Arena and United Center may be too expensive and too much of a gamble. So where else can you think of them using for certain cities. Speaking as a Bay Area native, I could see them making use of the Cow Palace in SF, and maybe the Oracle Arena once the Warriors move out. Anywhere else you can think of?

State Farm Arena is pretty much the successor to the Omni, so I'd ike to see them run that some day.

Hopefully the old Dorton Arena. Such a unique look.

Not the ECW arena I hope. The acoustics in that place suck.

If I were them, I would definitely ere on the side of running on the smaller side at first. Maybe open with a big one since it's the first show. Afterwards, I would run 4000ish seat arenas only because I fear that running weekly shows in less than full arenas can hurt the momentum they've built up. I would rather sell out a smaller arena than having to tarp out bigger arenas week after week. Just look at WWE, filling up big arenas on a weekly basis is hard. Plus you can always go bigger as your show gets started and you find a bigger audience.

Go for the size arenas ECW was running towards the end, and if they sell out constantly, move up.

After DoN, I’d pay to see them in Barclays or MSG.

I wouldn't be surprised if they had a residency at the MGM Grand every Tuesday, and then touring in between

I do wonder if they’ll immediate start touring once TV starts, or go the TNA/NXT route and have a “home” arena in Jacksonville for the remainder of 2019 and beyond. It would be a cheaper option and give them an easier learning curve to handle live broadcasting.

I don't know how many of the arenas have exclusive deals with WWE, but there's a lot of smaller venues that also aren't dinky that could do well. Hammerstein Ballroom in NYC could be really special in terms of atmosphere. Hell, MSG would make for a really special venue, especially since AEW probably won't have the same large stage requirements that WWE needs for the arena that makes them prefer Barclay's or the Prudential Center when they come to this part of the country. AEW could also run a show in Atlantic City at Hard Rock Live.
It also depends a lot if AEW is going to be touring around the country for their weekly show or if they're going to run from a single location like TNA did with the Asylum and then the Impact Zone. If they decide to do that in Jacksonville, there's the options of Daily's Place (5,500 capacity give or take) that's attached to TIAA Field or VyStar Arena if they can regularly attract a crowd as big as they got for DoN.

They already said there will not be a ton of home arenas. It will be a weekly TV show, with few house shows and occasional PPV's. Quite honestly, 6 PPV's a year is more than enough.

At this point you don't really need house shows. As WWE has shown they've just become a money losing proposition. Of course WWE also has mega huge TV deals and I don't think AEW is getting that so I do wonder where the money will come from. I think the idea might be to pay the dues and lose some money until the next round of negotiations and then if the show is clicking they can get some serious rights fees.
I wish the Louisville Gardens was still operational. It would be an ideal 5,000 seat arena for AEW. Broadbent is a toilet, don't bother with it. WWE runs the KFC Yum Center, which we saw recently with that horrid SD attendance a few weeks ago. Freedom Hall is still very much a venue, so why not run there? If Cody and Co. could play up the history of the location and Louisville's history as a wrestling town AEW would find a warm welcome I would think. I mentioned in that SD thread that WWE has systematically killed off one of their most loyal markets over the past 11 years or so, a market that routinely filled the Gardens during the down 1992-96 years. A market that supported OVW during the developmental years and was insanely wild about the WWF during the Attitude Era.
If I'm AEW I'd also think outside the box. I noticed North Dakota was curiously high in Google searches for the PPV the other night. Maybe there's some interest? Go to Bismarck or something. Go to Wyoming. Try places that WWE doesn't really think about.
