Seriously, for those that didn’t watch, seek out a recap of that first hour. Raw is often terribly formatted. But this one takes the cake. It’s like it was mapped out by an ostrich on PCP.

Tonight made me appreciate this place so much more. I can find out what's going on with this miserable show without being invested in it or contributing to it's viewership. It's perfect.
Thank you, FAN. You're doing the Lords' Work.

This is going to be a weird few months... WWE have no impetus to improve because AEW, without the weekly TV show, aren't a threat to them on the weekly national TV level yet, which is all the TV networks care about. AEW have all the buzz, but can't really capitalise on it fully until October.

I checked Twitter and out of everything on Raw the number 1 thing trending was "Vince." In case you might think "oh no they might be mentioning another Vince" I clicked on it and scrolled down a bit and 99% of them were about Vince's choices with Raw, WWE and AEW.
That says A LOT.

Thank you, FAN. You're doing the Lords' Work. I think Jesus himself would’ve chanted for AEW over this shit too...

Thank you, FAN. You're doing the Lords' Work. I don't watch. On good nights when the board praises it I can go to YT and know what to look for. On bad nights when the board shits on it I get three hours of photoshops, gifs, and our peanut gallery slowly slipping into madness. I win either way by just getting results through the thread.

Don't necessarily need a blow-by-blow, but just sketch out what happened in that first hour for me? I'm curious.

So I take it skipping the show tonight was the right call? Yeah, Cesaro vs. Ricochet was good but I wouldn't say it's worth kicking yourself over if you missed it (same with anything else on the show that wasn't terrible). I'll give myself some blame for watching and hoping they'd at least put on a decent show when holiday episodes usually suck.

I periodically checked into see what was going in with the show
Majority of my attention was on a movie...about a guy who kidnapped 3 people held them into an abandoned highschool and used the notion that starvation creates desperation and made them fight and kill other kidnapped people.
Never have I been happier with a by the numbers horror movie.

I'm listening to the rain outside right now and it's very soothing. Much needed after watching that Raw.

"Vince is WWE" is reaching that breakpoint now where it's bleeding out into the whole of the fanbase and after so long of blaming him directly I'm f***ing here for it.

Don't necessarily need a blow-by-blow, but just sketch out what happened in that first hour for me? I'm curious. - Kofi comes out to call out Lesnar. Seth comes out instead to also call out Lesnar, who then comes out dancing. Seth eventually storms off and then Brock leaves, then Ziggler attacks Kofi until Xavier runs him off. - Come back from commercial and Ziggler comes back to attack Xavier. They brawl through the crowd for forever until Kofi eventually runs out for the save. - Come back from commercial and Ziggler cuts a promo. - Shane comes out then leaves. - VERY long Triple H / Orton hype video. - Shane comes back out and cuts a rambling promo about the Anoa'i family. - After a commercial Shane is fighting a random Samoan jobber who McIntyre destroys outside the ring before Shane wrestles him to a still oddly competitive match. Afterward Reigns chases them off. And that's the first hour.

Don't necessarily need a blow-by-blow, but just sketch out what happened in that first hour for me? I'm curious. The opening segment had two commercial breaks. Culminating in a Dolph promo. Afterr that there was a mix of telling us what was to come later and backstage stuff. The crowd is basically watching nothing for twenty minutes. This is all leading to a Shane squash match against Roman’s cousin. But to get to that, there’s two ore commercial breaks and a Trips/Randy hype package. Which was all samddwiched between Shane making his way to the ring and the start of the match.

It felt like Shane was on screen for the entire 3 hours.

Okay, also, why do these people not know what an elimination match is? They kept stressing all night how the four-way was elimination but then when it actually comes up, nope, Corbin wins from one pin because Lashley and Braun just poofed out of existence.

Funny thing is, there were actually more minutes of wrestling this week than there were last week, which shows how bonkers the formatting was this week when there's the impression that there was, like, none at all.
