Funny thing is, there were actually more minutes of wrestling this week than there were last week, which shows how bonkers the formatting was this week when there's the impression that there was, like, none at all. The criticism from what I seen is all about the first hour. In the live thread people were rejoicing over the Ricochet/Cesaro match.

I will say I did enjoy the second half.
Things I liked:
- Brock with the "Beast Box" is the most compelling he's been in a long time. Him dancing and Heyman's air-guitar has really rrefrshed their characters without sacrificing Brock's strengths. - Brock Lesnar just now realizing he has a year to cash-in. He and Heyman's slapstick chemistry had me loudly chuckling. - Cesaro vs Ricochet was great. - R-Truth is making this 24/7 thing work. - Perhaps the best Firefly Fun House since the first one. The tone and execution was stellar. - Zayn got the most out of that electric chair segment, and Kansas City went along with it perfectly. - Zayn vs Rollins was cool with a fun finishing sequence.

I just watched one of the segments on YouTube. Yikes. How could Brock, who has had Money in the Bank cashed in on him before and who was involved in the Braun cash-in stuff, not know that the winner has a year to cash-in. Like... who signed off on a segment that makes your next big contender look like a moron?
And it sounds like that wasn't even the worst thing on this show.

I actually remember reading two sets of reviews for that Impact AND listening to Bryan and Vinny AND watching Spoony's reaction (a few years late on all but still). It would have taken a lot for RAW to be as bad as that Impact. As in, it would have needed a needless heel stable opening the show with Hogan in the lead and hogging the spotlight, the first forty minutes doing storyline stuff that could have been done over two weeks, a laydown title change, an announcer stopping part of the heel group, a pointless reality star appearance, the heel group somehow having trouble in a everybody-on-1 handicap match, and an important match ending in no finish. And Dixie Carter.
I get that's not necessarily the point, but still.

I checked Twitter and out of everything on Raw the number 1 thing trending was "Vince." In case you might think "oh no they might be mentioning another Vince" I clicked on it and scrolled down a bit and 99% of them were about Vince's choices with Raw, WWE and AEW. That says A LOT. "Vince is WWE" is reaching that breakpoint now where it's bleeding out into the whole of the fanbase and after so long of blaming him directly I'm f***ing here for it. Yeah it's to a point where even if they have a really good event all of the fans will say "wow Vince was on his game for this one, I hope it continues" and they'll be just as critical when the next one appears. Unless something changes it'll continue.

It's actually one of Brock's consistent character traits that he does not care about or watch the show. It makes sense that he would not know the exact circumstances of the MITB briefcase. Even though it's been cashed in on him, for all he knew, Seth could have won that earlier in the night

At the very least, the Firefly Fun House is the most invested I've ever been for Bray Wyatt. Those segments are literally one of the few reasons I tune in for Raw every week.

Thank you, FAN. You're doing the Lords' Work. I think Jesus himself would’ve chanted for AEW over this shit too... ...He did. youtu.be/u3nGXsFZJ6E

I missed it driving back from Vegas but I’m actually shocked to hear about it. I really thought they’d put a legitimate effort on tonight of all nights.

I actually thought the first hour was different in a good way. It certainly was formatted and produced differently than usual (probably some experimentation from WWE) with the segments being intertwined and bleeding into each other. I do watch on tape delay so I can fast forward the commercials so not sure if that made it better.

Well, WWE tends to phone in Raw when it falls in on elf those Monday holidays. Low ratings are expected. Now if Smackdown is like this, we got a problem

I just thought of what a good image to use to depict the state of bad stuff going on in the WWE. It's Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers movie. That part where Gandalf removes Saruman's influence on Theoden, can't remember his name. In the film, he goes from a decrepit old man to a kinda healthy looking old man.
That's how I think the WWE feels like, only the scene being in reverse.
Like it starts at 3:17 to 3:29, but imagine it in reverse.

I remember a Nitro in 2000 having very little in ring action in the first hour, so yeah another wCw like decision

So the question is, are the WWE deliberately making their shows bad in some kind of bizarre flex against AEW? 'You talk about wrestling and storytelling being the most important things ever? We don't think we even need to have wrestling or storytelling!'

Kansas City shat on your show. Kansas City. I lived there for a few years and went to a few Raws and Smackdowns in that arena. They were the type of crowd that cheers what they are "supposed" to and boos what they are "supposed" to. So for that crowd to turn on the show is really saying something.

Absolute indefensible shit. Vince is awful, as a creative mind and as a person. Jesus dude, it's just a TV show lol Late last week we marked the 20th anniversary of the horrible death of a man who Vince threatened to fire if he didn't do a stupid stunt at a random PPV that ended up killing him during said pointless PPV and lol the show went on. Venti was not wrong.
