Man Mick is off base with that first sentence alone. Shit, if the belt was the classic Hardcore Title, the Winged Eagle, that would have gotten pops. That belt was Chris Benoit ugly.

I think there is a legitimate point and discussion to be had about the audience being so disillusioned they're less willing to give pretty much anything a chance (which is the WWE's own fault to be fair) but nah that belt was dumb looking. And by Foley being the one to introduce it and some of what he was saying it was hinting pretty hard at it being the hardcore title so yeah people were understandably annoyed at that.

Well other than it being a different belt and called a different name it IS a hardcore title.

By the fact it can be defended anywhere, any time and there are no rules make it so.

I'm still glad they didn't call it the Hardcore title though but the belt is ugly as f***.

Few years ago when they turned PG, Vince wanted the removal of "Hardcore" hence them being called Extreme Rules matches now and not use weapons you can find in the house... I would've called it the Tough man or something like that title and yea do the weapons but nothing ridicoulous like head shots or piledrivers on chairs through flaming tables
