It's like they got so close to giving Dean Ambrose a nice respectful farewell and then right at the last minute Vince couldn't resist being a petty asshole one last time and so pays Ambrose $500 for a show built around him. He's such an insecure old bully. I also like how he paid him 500 dollars and expected a fight about it. Like, again, he doesn’t get that this isn’t about money and that he’s just f***ing done. All these big ass contracts are not only him trying to collect a bunch of toys, it’s Vince throwing money at the problem thinking that’s the only thing that matters to people, not creative fulfillment and happiness. To be fair I think plenty of the current roster is happy to collect big money while getting to see the world and be on TV, and while they may not like their booking they just figure that’s the job. It’s not the wrong view to have, but I’ve got all the respect in the world for guys who see wrestling like I do: unconventional live theatre and an art form.

The Luke Harper and Revival interviews should be gold (assuming they are ever released from WWE) Harper and The Revival will never be released, they'll be locked in the same room Aleister Black's in. Now if they end one of Black's promos and they just pan to Luke Harper leaning against the wall mad and checking his watch that'd be gold

Now I’m tempted to make a thread of things Vince thought was “good shit.”
Writer: Alright, Riott Squad. We’re gonna need one of ya’ to smear ketchup on a wall.
R.S: Uh, What?
Vince: AHHHHH ITS..ITS CHAOS! ITS A RIOT! ITS SUCH GOOD SHIT.

Forgot this one but Here's the one where he said that "light" Roman line at 3:28. Look at how Ambrose reacts after saying it. Yikes. First he looks like he wants to cry, then he looks disgusted that he said it.

Literally just finished this. What a great podcast. As an ex-wrestler who felt his love for wrestling slipping away slowly until it was gone, I identified so much with this. I wonder what the line was Vince asked him to say about Roman's cancer was? If he wasn't willing to say it on a podcast it must have been something awful. Considering it was supposed to be said while getting shots up the ass, I fear it was either a line about the cure to cancer or a potshot at the therapies that Roman and many cancer patients gets. That’s the only thing I can think of and it’s sickening to even imagine.

I am heartbroken that this confirms that Moxley owns a house. Nothing is confirmed. That entire conversation happened inside the dumpster and nothing will convince me otherwise. Anyway... There is just SO SO SO MUCH to unpack here. f***.

Something irking me now is like, Seth Rollins shamelessly going to bat for how great WWE is ("I didn't realize all of you were backstage and know what it's like" or whatever) and sticking up for the "writing five hours of TV is hard tho" excuse for the show being bad, but then being upset that his friend is THIS unhappy and wants out?
Seth will only publicly go to bat for those who'll give him a push.
And before anyone says, "Well kissing WWE's ass is par the course!" you know what the other option is, not saying anything rather than lying. Being the "Nothing to see here" Guy is a bad look.

"Good shit" and Moxley's impression of Laurinaitis killed me. Vince really put him through the wringer before he left.

Having listened to it all, I certainly don't blame Moxley for his stance. As a creative it must be a pain, don't forget though that by many accounts he's also a pain to work with.
Like I said, don't blame Moxley at all but this isn't as black and white as people may want to see it.
As for the Sasha stuff, whatever. She has been given nearly every accolade and then cried because she didn't get to win at Wrestlemania. No sympathy for her whatsoever.

Real question. Also everything that Mox said lines up with what other people say, from ex employees to dirt sheet reports so I see no reason to doubt any of this at face value. Sasha... we've heard vague rumors and speculations and haven't heard her side yet. That's all up in the air.

I wouldn't be surprised if Sasha has pretty much the same overall grievance as Dean really - she's at her absolute best as the NXT version of the Boss. She hasn't been allowed to actually be that or anything close to it in years.

Also to add to this...if the system is broken, and it clearly is, people are going to be difficult to work with because the system in place makes no goddamn sense whatsoever. That’s not justifying any major tantrums that may or may not have happened but by all accounts, trying to make headway in the WWE in an environment where shows are written as they go along and matches can be cut because nobody can time a show properly apparently doesn’t make for a healthy working environment. This year alone we’ve seen it in various ways publicly with Tye Dillenger, Luke Harper, Mike and Maria Kenellis, The Revival, Tyler Breeze, Rusev, Sasha Banks and now Dean Ambrose. Yes, some of those people aren’t mega stars, one’s a meme by all accounts, but by all accounts, that’s a bunch of people who either could be doing something at all or were obviously signed for a reason. If they’re unhappy or have issues, why are they around? Especially when there’s a roster of people in NXT ready to go to replace them?

Lowkey though I was kinda hoping for Dean to circle back at some point and give the real story about what happened with the #thanksMick program ;(

I don't doubt what Moxley is saying, I'm just saying I don't think he is easy to work with either. I will retract the statement where I said "many sources". Now that I've thought about it I think it may be something where I've read 2 and 3 and got to 10. I see him on the Austin podcast though and I can just imagine he's a stubborn guy (nothing wrong with that). There's also when he went directly against Foley's wishes in their feud.

He didn't do that. That's not what happened. Foley couldn't get cleared, so the feud got shelved, and they "kayfabed" that little part so Dean could keep his edge.
