Even if the fan went too far, which he may have, this weird street gang tactic was ill advised.

Pulling dude backstage could have gone wrong in a bunch of different ways
This is America, people/companies catch lawsuits left and right for stuff more frivolous than this.

So Mandy Leon spat at the fan for telling her she sucks. Velvet Sky then said the fan was a virgin and couldn't get laid, Fan then retorted by saying she slept with Bully Ray, Velvet then gets security to take him out back where Bully Ray gave him a dressing down or something.

Talk about disappropriate responses there. Sounds like the fan was booing the heels and responding to jeers from them. I mean, sure there might have been more to what he was saying but still. That's some bs.

This sounds f***ing stupid. If the fan went too far in doing something than all they had to do was get him out of there but getting spit is nasty and berated is crazy
I have no problem with the back and forth banter tho the personal shots should be out of it but if he went too far you kick him the f*** out. Spitting on him and telling him to be respectful comes across like you got your feelings hurt and if I got spit on then yeah personal attacks are coming because that's just as bas as if u put your hands on me

Is Velvet that afraid of people knowing she is dating Bully Ray? I mean, not saying I don't follow the line of reasoning, but....

This seems like one of those 'somewhere in the middle' situations. Did the fan go a little too far in hatin' on the heels? Sure, maybe. Did Mandy/Velvet/Bully all go too far in their responses? Yes, definitely. The act of bringing him backstage was too much, he probably shit bricks literally, and whatever Ray had to say could've been done out in the crowd. But I can at least understand those two wanting to defend the notion that they're 'not just together for the sex and the wrestling success' and to not delve into that anyway. (And I'm sure Ray wanted to refute himself being any kind of turd. ) Also I've officially lost all respect for Mandy Leon. You do not spit on fans. You do not spit on anyone. For the lack of a better comparison, it's like the Montreal Screwjob: No one involved in this situation comes off well. Joe Koff, your move.

Yeah, my bullshit alarm is going off and I'm willing to bet that - just like all those WWE stories about kicking people out and such - there's more to this story than has been released. And probably not anything that will paint the fan in any better of a light.

I feel like we're missing chunks of the story here so I'm not going to rush to cast stones, but if it's as reported then.... yikes.

Shit, if I were a heel wrestler I'd be honored if a fan was booing me and heckling me, that just means you're getting a reaction that is harder for a heel to get in this day and age, since the curtain has been pulled back. Getting cheered when you're trying to heel up would be more annoying imo.
Bubba's just mad that they targeted his girl lol.
Still, going on Twitter to complain about it makes you look lame.

This is absolutely disgusting behavior. How in the hell do you have the Allure interferer in multiple matches? I am offended purely by the booking.

I don’t know what’s worse: literally being spit on by Mandy Leon, or figuratively being spit on by being made to watch the god awful Allure trio.

I would like to think she didn't just spit on him for a passing remark so once that was the case his ass should been grass and banned from the arena instead of letting this keep going Nobody really looks good in this

Ring of Honor has informed POST Wrestling that they are conducting an internal review regarding a series of incidents from Sunday’s show in Portland, Oregon.
A Twitter user that goes by the name “Osh Kosh Big Josh” attended the show and stated they he got into an exchange with Velvet Sky of The Allure and was also spat on and facepalmed by Mandy Leon.
In his story, he said he was informed by security that he had to come backstage and was confronted by Bully Ray. The fan was told not to speak down to the women and treat them with respect before he was sent back to his seat for the remainder of the show.
Ring of Honor’s General Manager Greg Gilleland issued the following statement to us regarding the matter:
ROH has always taken fan-first approach, with fan experience being at the forefront of all of our live events. We consider this to be very serious and will be conducting an internal review over the next 48 hours to determine the appropriate actions.
----
I can't really speak to Osh Kosh Big Josh's experience or his honesty but I know I'm blocked by Velvet Sky on twitter and I never tweet insults to people so I still have no clue why, but she doesn't seem to take heckling well considering she's been a heel so much of her wrestling career.

I mean unless he said some very very derogatory things it's kind of tough to say that the wrestlers were justified in their behavior

I also got blocked by Velvet, for saying the Allure winning the WOH belt would be damaging to the division...

Considering several other people confirmed at least what happened in the crowd, this story sounds legit. Personally, I think ROH just needs to get rid of Bully Ray and his girlfriend, it's not like they bring anything to the table to make them worth dealing with.

So, this is what happens when the loudest fans are brought backstage? ROH really is the new TNA now!
In all seriousness, even if there is chunks of the story missing, there's absolutely no reason for a fan to be brought backstage to be confronted by angry talent. Either eject the fan from the arena, or get the local police involved if he makes a scene. Use the f***ing security you pay for.

It’s too bad that real life Bully Ray is such a jerk because he is a awesome heel. He’s made that radio show he cohosts (Busted Open on Sirius XM) unlistenable too. He does have some good ideas but he goes off the rails in bad ways. Poor guy’s had so many concussions.
