Somewhat inspired by the thread in wrest about Jake/Savage/Piper, are there any bad stories about HHH floating out there? I mean, yeah, you can complain about his booking during the Reign of Terror, but outside of that, I've never heard any bad stories about him.

There are quite a bit lol but the one that always stood out to me are about his casual racism directed at Ricardo Rodriguez who says that Triple H would only refer to him by the Bumblebee man nickname based off the Simpsons character.

I remember one time around 2005 some fan posted a story of waiting for wrestlers outside the arena and they met Maven who they said was really cool, and they asked him if all the stories about Triple H being a dick are true and Maven just laughed and said yeah.

Triple H is the worst bad guy of all time.
In fact, if I were to rate him as a person who does bad things, he would be a 4/10.

I remember Orton saying something in an interview once that was a pretty negative story. Was something like when Umaga got drafted to SmackDown he was thrilled to be away from Triple H, then Orton laughed at him when Triple H also got drafted to it later in the show.

I use to hear that Edge wasn't a fan and outside of the rated rko vs dx fued they basically were never on the same brand together so I wondered big it had merit.

If we're taking stories of him playing politics out of it, just those stories from fans saying he was a dick to them or just ignored them in public. You know how wrestling fans can be though, sometimes they'll leave out the details that make them out to be the dicks.

I heard he cheated on his girlfriend, and it ended pretty badly.

Was something like when Umaga got drafted to SmackDown he was thrilled to be away from Triple H, then Orton laughed at him when Triple H also got drafted to it later in the show. I remember that story as well, Orton and Umaga were pals if I remember correctly and they were both winding each other up and who would be stuck with Triple H. His heel reign of terror from 2002 to 2005 is the one that gets brought up a lot and rightly so because it was terrible but the Triple H babyface run from 2006 to 2010 when he was still full time was pretty brutal too. The Orton HHH relationship has always been interesting to me, a hundred times more interesting than any of their boring matches that's for sure. HHH clearly liked Orton enough to bring him into Evolution and so in many ways you'd think he would be Ortons mentor but there were a few interviews over the years where Orton would take not so subtle digs at Triple H. Plus Triple H seemed to constantly crush Orton whenever they feuded, it was often very one sided.

I don't think CM Punk has a lot of nice things to say about him.

From what I remember the original story was he called him Bumblebee becuase he was large and could fly. Not that it had any ties to the Bumblebee Man.

Austin and especially Rock never had particularly nice things to say about him, even before he fully assumed the top spot after their departures. Though both always try to be diplomatic about it, like Rock usually adding "But we were competitive with each other and rivals in the ring and in real life" type comments.
A lot of former writers have had unpleasant things to say about Hunter too in terms of him intimidating them and generally throwing his weight around in booking meetings to ensure he got what he wanted as far back as 1998. Forget who it was, but I remember a former Smackdown writer mentioning Hunter got up from his seat and got in his face about some match or segment that made Jeff Hardy look good over Hunter and later other former Smackdown writers confirmed the story.
Foley and others involved in their program didn't have nice things to say when H later buried Foley's role in his ascension into main event status and acted like Foley did nothing for him.
RVD, Jericho, and Booker have all made comments about him not being the most pleasant man to work with and trying to bully them to varying degrees.
Lots of stories from the "Lost Generation" guys of the 2000's about how fake he is, how he'll smile and ask how you are but it's in a condescending way and how he'll dismiss your answers and/or walk off before you even finish answering. Masters, Kennedy, Punk, Edge, Carlito, Umaga and so on.

I like Jericho talking about Triple H saying he could come to him whenever he needed anything, then Jericho calls him a week later asking for directions to the building only for Hunter to tell him to buy a map and hang up.

There was one year when gaming magazines received a few edicts from WWE regarding screenshots being included in reviews of one of their games. One of them was that they weren't allowed to show Trips in a compromised (defenseless or vulnerable) position.
How insecure are you that you can't even stand seeing yourself lose in a video game?

Similarly I forget if it was from the same edicts or from a different year's but it was outed that it was a mandate that Triple H should have really good stats (I want to say all 90's except in flying). The wording of it came across very much like The New God, Mr. Burns.

He's... a complex figure, to put it mildly. A lot of people are glowing about him, but you also get stuff along the lines of him being kind of cold with people who are "Vince's people" versus his, with Vickie Guerrero saying she got on great with Vince and Steph, but only ever talked to Triple H like a handful of times up until she was almost gone from the company, that he's so focused on his personal projects that he doesn't show a great deal of interest in Vince's hires.
I also remember Foley sometimes liking Triple H quite a bit, but also being hurt and angered when he felt Triple H downplayed just how much Foley had done to put him over. Granted, Foley has his own ego, same as any main eventer, but I think that obviously he'd have a point if he felt unappreciated, since yeah, the Foley feud was probably the thing that ensured Hunter would be a top heel for life.

Triple H should thank Foley as much as possible for putting him in a top spot in 2000. Many people (myself included) didn’t buy Triple H as a main eventer. That feud with the street fight at Rumble 2000 and HITC the next month put him over as the top Heel in wrestling. Before Foley made him look like a million bucks, I just saw him as Shawn’s bag boy and bitch.
