Nice. Timmy never struck me as a guy who wanted to go into coaching but with his great career and fundamentals, he can teach a lot of people obviously due to his own smarts and studying under the Pop tree for his whole career

I never said Canada hates Kawhi, Iβm saying from a marketing standpoint no one in the country is going to buy his NB gear or support him going forward. Appreciating what he did in the past is a separate issue. No one is a big reach Individuals in Canada are going to buy some of his stuff. He's going to be a cult hero for the longest time until someone else steps up. If Raps don't make the playoffs but the Clippers do, I can see them rooting for Kawhi because of what he has done Appreciating what he did in the "past" I don't see is a seperate issue. This is fresh in people minds, they didn't win 5 years ago, it happened just a few months ago The sentiment here in Toronto is that the Raptors likely won't repeat as champs, and there really isn't any hate for Kawhi at all. Disappointment that he went to the Clippers, yes, but not "f*** Kawhi" levels of hate.

The only people who had the f*** Kawhi were Laker fans who were so arrogant that he would go there because they're the Lakers that they passed on a bunch of free agents that would make them a true championship contender.

Imagine Popovich and Duncan calling for plays during timeouts...

I think the secret of βJust get physicalβ is going to take itβs toll on him. Not to say heβll be bad (he wont) he just wont have a season for the ages while picking up the slack of lost/injured teammates No ... Kind of all hinges on him developing anything of an outside shot. Donβt think it translates to in-game just yet.

Spurs have promoted long-time GM RC Buford to CEO and have promoted assistant GM Brian Wright.

I mean this is going to be difficult to prove because it has gone on forever in the NBA Kawhi was getting offers all over Toronto to stay. LeBron went to L.A. because Lakers could continue to help him stretch his connects in Hollywood. The biggest selling point with the Knicks and other big teams in the past was they could get you in more commercials to improve your brand. Adam Silver more so than David Stern has allowed the players even more power

A OKC reporter thinks OKC should trade CP3 for Wiggins. Yeah, I don't see that happening. You're essentially hoping Wiggins has a resurgence like Oladipo did but Wiggins doesn't have heart and I rather get rid of the CP3 contract and get him off the books to someone else and not take back future money
Zion signs a sneaker deal with Jordan Brand
As reported before the fact Clippers kept their mouth shut in regards to Kawhi helped them land him. Magic and his big mouth is perceived to have hurt them. Clippers before they got PG13 did contact Wiz about Beal and Houston about Harden but were turned down. They also reached out to Butler and Durant as well

Wiggins you can flip, Paul is one or two more hamstring injuries away from being dead money who is impossible to get out from under. As a Knicks fan, you know how that shit go. Even if you have to give someone like Charlotte one of those 1sts, you can get rid of Wiggins a year or two from now. CP3 is a grenade that someone is going to not be able to get rid of. The longer you hold him, the higher the chance you have of him blowing up on you. If you can move him today without many sweeteners, you do it. No questions asked.

The longer you hold him, the higher the chance you have of him blowing up on you. If you can move him today without many sweeteners, you do it. No questions asked. Well it depends. OKC has said they don't want to add on salary and want to get out of the tax bracket. If they can get rid of Robertson, Gallinari, Adams, and only have Wiggins as the guy making money on the team then I see them doing it but as of right now I just can't see that trade being a possibility. For the T'Wolves I think they pull it as they really have nothing to lose but they still would have to move Teague in a deal I believe to get the money to match Paul and you would need a 3rd trade partner for that. OKC doesn't want CP3 on their team that is obvious because as you said he is one injury away from this being a sunk cost and even then they still have to give up a pcik to trade him (which isn't going to kill them). I think right now they don't have too much choice but to wait especially with Miami being the clearest destination unless they pull the trigger on a Wiggins type deal which was only hypothetical. Imo if Thunder could get WIggins i'd do it but only if you can find trades for everyone else. Also in a Miami deal, if you get Winslow, Olynk and maybe Herro or Jones Jr then do it. They got a ticking time bomb and their is something to be said in SGA learning under Paul but Paul has shown himself to be a pain in the ass as well

Magic Johnson might be even worse as a basketball executive than Phil Jackson. At least when Phil got fired by the Knicks, he didn't continue screwing them over.

The thing is we knew Magic was going to be bad Phil at least had the benefit of doubt and people thought he would be good enough and I personally thought he would at least borrow from how Pat Riley runs his team but nope he was a big f***ing flop to the point he was ready to trade the only good thing he did in Porzingis and even then with the way he acted at the end, he ended up only being a brief glimpse of hope before fading away
